I was invited, in my capacity as executive director of the Homer Foundation, to attend a ukulele concert held at the Alaska Heritage RV Park on the Homer Spit. For the second summer in a row our local ukulele group has had a paying gig to perform for groups brought to Homer through Fantasy RV Tours.
Monday night was their final performance of the season and the Homer Foundation was presented with a check for $1,050 on their behalf. Our local ukulele group is doing their part to help make Homer a better place to live, through their music, and their generosity.
My hat’s off to you,
Joy Steward, executive director
The Homer Foundation
