The Homer Chamber of Commerce and the city of Homer’s Planning and Zoning Office will sponsor a workshop titled “Signs for Thriving Businesses.”
The free workshop will be offered March 18 and repeated April 3. On both dates it will be from noon to 12:45 p.m.
On March 18 the workshop will be at the Homer City Council chambers. On April 3, it will be at the Homer Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center conference room.
The workshop is designed for “business owners interested in using signs effectively,” according to a press release from organizers.
The workshop will explain Homer’s sign standards for size, height and temporary signs. Participants will explore color choice, font size and other factors that make signs effective.
The workshop will be presented by Dotti Harness-Foster of the city’s planning and zoning office. For more information, call her at 435-3118.
