The Alaska Division of Forestry, Kenai-Kodiak Area Office has issued a burn permit suspension for the Kenai Peninsula due to high fire danger and predicted strong winds. The suspension includes the burning of debris, burn barrels and lawns as outlined in the 2016 Burn Permits provided at http://alaska.gov/burn.

Campfires are allowed but must be kept smaller than 3-feet-by-3-feet. People building campfires should be sure to have plenty of water on site to suppress any embers that imght escape a campfire enclosure. Ensure the fire is completely out when done.
