Nobody likes to get in a fight over food with a bear; the bear usually wins.

To help prevent this bear vs. human tug of war, Friends of Kachemak Bay State Parks has placed food lockers at some of the most popular campsites in Kachemak Bay State Park. Right Beach, North Eldred trailhead and Rusty’s Lagoon to name a few. Friends would like to thank Kachemak Conservation Society for the funding of these food lockers.
