The Better Business Bureau, serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington, has officially launched its 2015 “Students of Integrity Scholarship.” High school seniors in the Northwest will have an opportunity to win a $10,000 scholarship by creating a 90-second video demonstrating how BBB helps people become better consumers.
“BBB values the importance of higher education and teens who personify high ethics,” BBB CEO Tyler Andrew said in a press release issued Nov. 17. “We believe this scholarship will enable a student to pursue both in a fun and creative way.”
Students can check their eligibility and apply online. A panel of judges from the three represented states will choose the winning entry in March. The deadline to apply is Jan. 30.
The winner will receive the $10,000 scholarship and travel expenses to Portland, Ore., where BBB will present the recipient with a check at the March 20 Portland Trail Blazers game at the Moda Center. Students may apply individually or in groups. Video entries of the top 15 finalists will be posted on BBB’s YouTube channel for public viewing.
