Clear skies and high aurora activity earlier this week offered good viewing of the northern lights from Homer, especially on Tuesday night. According to the Alaska Geophysical Institute’s aurora forecast, viewing will drop off for Thursday night, with a forecast of “moderate.” From Homer, the best views of the aurora are to the north and with an unobstructed view of the horizon.
