ANCHORAGE (AP) — Shareholders of the Barrow-based Arctic Slope Regional Corp. will be pocketing a big dividend in December. The Alaska Native corporation in a release says the regular fall dividend will be $40 per share. The board of directors has added a $60 per share special dividend to be paid at the same time after a healthy business year.
Most shareholders hold 100 shares of the stock, meaning they will receive $10,000 checks in early December. This is on top of a $10 per share payout this spring.
Board chairman Crawford Patkotak says the corporation recognizes the importance of providing meaningful returns to about 11,000 shareholders with winter and the holidays approaching.
The corporation has five main business segments: petroleum refining and marketing, energy support services, construction, government services and resource development.
