Anchor Point woman dead after ATV rollover

Troopers were called around 9 p.m. on July 16 and told of a rollover on Anchor River Road

An Anchor Point woman died last week of injuries from the rollover of an ATV she was operating, Alaska State Troopers said Tuesday.

According to a July 18 dispatch from troopers, they were called around 9 p.m. on July 16 and told of a rollover on Anchor River Road. They found 49-year-old Erica Ball with serious injuries and transported her to “an area hospital.”

An updated dispatch on Monday said that Ball had succumbed to her injuries on July 19, after she was transported to an Anchorage hospital.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the rollover was said to be ongoing.
