I was set to go to California for Christmas with plans to see family and friends I have not seen for years. All reservations were made a year ago. My flight from Bethel was canceled and I was not able to get any flight out of Alaska to LA until Christmas late night.

The trip was canceled and I was heartsick about this turn of events. Many family members were to be there just because I was to be there.

The message I sent my family was to think about our service men that will not be home and may never be home for Christmas.

Please think about our boys in harm’s way and say a prayer during your Christmas dinner.
