Alaska State Troopers at 2:54 p.m. received a report of a burglary at a North Fork Road home near Anchor Point. Several doors were damaged and a Celtic tapestry was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimes Stoppers at 800-478-HALT (800-478-4258).
May 14
Troopers at 1:04 p.m. received a report of a theft at an East End Road home. The caller reported a driver in a silver sedan pulled into the driveway, opened a passenger door and the caller’s dog, Zeus, jumped in. The person then drove away with the dog. Zeus is a 130-pound white Great Pyrenees. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimes Stoppers at 800-478-HALT (800-478-4258).

Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Anchor Point Post, cited a 36-year-old Homer man for sport fishing with more than one line. Troopers contacted him while he fished in Kachemak Bay. Troopers said he had two separate lines in the water.

Troopers cited a 52-year-old Homer man for failure to immediately record a king salmon measuring greater than 20 inches in length he had previously retained.
Wildlife Troopers while on patrol in the P/V Augustine contacted a 73-year-old California man while he fished in Cook Inlet north of Bluff Point. Troopers cited him for failure to immediately record a king salmon measuring greater than 20 inches in length he had previously retained.
Wildlife Troopers while on patrol in the P/V Augustine contacted another a 56-year-old Anchorage man and a 46-year-old Soldotna man while they fished in Cook Inlet north of Bluff Point near Happy Valley. Troopers cited the men for failure to immediately record a king salmon measuring greater than 20 inches in length they had previously retained.
May 19
Wildlife Troopers cited a 52-year-old Clam Gulch man for allowing a nonresident client to fail to immediately record a king salmon measuring greater than 20 inches in length. The man provided guide services for king salmon in Cook Inlet waters and failed to have the required king salmon stamp. Troopers contacted him at the Deep Creek tractor launch and issued him a citation for each offense.
May 20
Troopers at 2:54 p.m. received a report of a theft from a business on North Fork Road in Anchor Point. The complainant reported an oxygen bag and trauma bag full of tools and gear were stolen from two Connex style containers. A portable 4-gas detector also was stolen. May 23
Troopers on patrol at 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of North Fork Road and the Sterling Highway said they saw a 39-year-old Anchor Point driving a blue Subaru which had expired registration. The man was cited for driving while license suspended.
Wildlife Troopers cited a 43-year-old Anchorage man for sport fishing with a treble hook in the Ninilchik River. The river is currently only open to an unbaited single hook.
May 24
Troopers on patrol near Mile 172 Sterling Highway saw a red Honda CRV traveling west with an expired Alaska license plate. Troopers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as a 33-year-old Anchorage man. Troopers said a records check showed the man had a revoked license because of driving under the influence. Troopers cited the man for driving while license revoked.
May 27
Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 4:08 p.m. went to a Ninilchik business for a report of a drunk driver. Troopers arrested a 57-year-old Ninilchik man for DUI.
May 30
Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 5:39 p.m. went to a two-car hit-and-run crash near Mile 2 Kenai Spur Road. Troopers said a 54-year-old Port Graham man driving south in a 2005 Dodge pickup truck was hit by a driver in a tan or gold pickup truck that crossed into his lane as it went north. The driver then fled the scene. A passenger in the Port Graham man’s truck had minor injuries and the truck had minor damange. All occupants wore seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor with anyone in the Dodge truck.
