April 3

Alaska State Troopers at 8:25 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 42-year-old Homer man on Jenny Way in Homer. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence.

April 5

Troopers at 10:12 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 40-year-old Homer man near Mile 16 East End Road. They arrested him for driving while license revoked.

April 7

Troopers at 7:17 a.m. went to a disturbance involving a knife at a Nikolaevsk home. Troopers said a 30-year-old Nikolaevsk man placed a family member in fear of serious injury with a knife and also assaulted the person with a chair, causing minor injuries to the victim. Troopers arrested the man and charged him with third- and fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Troopers at 8:19 a.m. went to a vehicle rollover on the Sterling Highway near the south end of the North Fork Road. Troopers found the occupants nearby a 2006 Toyota Sequoia on its side in the ditch. A woman in the car was taken to South Peninsula Hospital for her injuries. All parties reported wearing seat belts. Troopers said the driver, a 54-year-old Sterling man, failed to round a curve while heading south.

Troopers at 4:43 p.m. contacted a 51-year-old Anchor Point woman at a business in Homer after seeing her driving a 2006 Jeep on the Sterling Highway. Troopers knew the woman had a revoked license from a previous DUI arrest and that she was under conditions of release from the arrest. Troopers arrested her for driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release.

Troopers at 8:25 p.m. went to a vehicle in the ditch on the Old Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers found a 69-year-old Homer man trapped in a 1991 Ford truck in the ditch. Anchor Point Fire and Emergency Services extricated the man and found he had no injuries. The truck also was not damaged. Troopers said the man drove drunk and arrested him for DUI.

April 10

Troopers at 4:45 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 53-year-old Seward man near Mile 140 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers issued the man a summons for operating his vehicle without an ignition interlock device as required.
