Alaska State Troopers at 10:36 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 27-year-old Homer man driving near Mile 4 East End Road. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence.
July 26
Troopers at 11:43 a.m. went to a two-car crash near Mile 159 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a car driven by a 75-year-old Anchor Point woman was behind two other cars. She slowed suddenly when a car in front of her slowed. A car behind her driven by a 23-year-old Anchor Point woman hit the older woman’s car. All parties wore seat belts and no one was injured.
Troopers at 11:51 p.m. went to a disturbance on the Old Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Homer Police officers also assisted. Troopers said a 45-year-old Anchor Point man assaulted a family member and tried to assault another family member. Troopers arrested the man on two counts of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.
July 30
Alaska Wildlife Troopers at 2 p.m. contacted two men fishing at the Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon. Troopers cited an 18-year-old Homer man and a 19-year-old Homer man for attempting to snag by the use of prohibited gear . Troopers also cited the 18-year-old man for failing to have a valid 2016 sport fishing license.
