Alaska Wildlife Troopers at 11:40 a.m. received a report of people sport fishing from a boat within the king salmon conservation area near the mouth of the Anchor River. Troopers cited a 52-year-old Sterling man for sport fishing in closed waters.

May 15

Troopers at 7:31 p.m. went to a 911 call for a disturbance at a Homer home. Troopers said a 25-year-old Homer man forced his way into a home, assaulted a family member and caused more than $250 in damages. Troopers arrested the man for fourth-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, both domestic violence related.

Troopers at 8:05 a.m. received a report of a disturbance at a Voznesenka home. Troopers responded and said a 38-year-old Voznesenka man assaulted a family member. They arrested the man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

May 19

Troopers at 5:30 a.m. went to a single-car crash on the Sterling Highway near Berussa Road in Ninilchik. Troopers said a 51-year-old Gloucester, Va., man was driving south when his car left the road, hitting an embankment and rolling at least once before stopping. The man and all four passengers were taken to South Peninsula Hospital. Two passengers had serious but not life-threatening injuries. The driver and two other passengers had minor injuries.

Troopers at 6 p.m. contacted a 26-year-old Homer at an Anchor Point business and arrested him on outstanding warrants.

Troopers at 11:30 p.m. went to a single-car crash on the Sterling Highway near Whiskey Gulch near Anchor Point. Troopers said a 61-year-old Soldotna man lost control of his car and hit an embankment. The man had minor injuries. Troopers said the man drove drunk and arrested him for driving under the influence. Troopers also charged him with violating conditions of his release on previous cases.
