Homer Police

June 9

Homer Police at 6:09 p.m. arrested a 31-year-old Homer man on a warrant for failure to appear in court. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Police at 7:14 p.m. went to reports of an altercation. Police arrested a 52-year-old Homer man for three counts of third-degree assault, two counts of fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

June 11

Police at 12:55 a.m. went to a report of property damage and arrested a 56-year-old Homer man for second-degree criminal trespassing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

June 12

A 56-year-old man at 7:30 p.m. flagged down police. Police arrested the man for violating conditions of release and took him to the Homer Jail.

Police at 7:44 p.m. contacted a 53-year-old Homer man on a warrant for failure to appear in court on an original charge of failure to update sex-offender registration. He was taken to the Homer Jail.

Alaska State Troopers

June 10

Alaska State Troopers at 5:23 p.m. received a report of a hit-and-run collision in Seldovia off Jakolof Bay Road. On June 11 with the assistance of Alaska Wildlife Troopers, troopers went to Seldovia and determined a 41-year-old Oregon woman recklessly caused serious physical injury to a household member with her car. The incident had been unreported to troopers for a week even though the collision resulted in serious injury. Troopers arrested the woman and took her to the Homer Jail.

Rojas, 41, first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, leaving the scene of an accident without assisting injured, all felonies; reckless endangerment; leaving the scene of an accident involving injury; failure to give immediate notice of an accident; all domestic violence related; Seldovia case.
