The Christian Science Society will hold a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m., Thursday Nov. 22 at 3774 Bartlett Street. the service will include hymns, prayer, readings from the King James Bible and passages from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. All are welcome to this hour-long service.

The Kachemak Bay Birders’ next trip will be to the Homer Spit on Saturday, Nov. 17. Meet in the parking lot at the base of the Spit on Kachemak Drive at 11 a.m. There will have just been a high tide which will make it easier to view birds out over the water, plus many other species nearby, possibly raptors. Bring binoculars, field guide and a spotting scope if you have one.
