Alaska State Troopers at 7:20 p.m. while on patrol at the intersection of North Fork Road and the Sterling Highway saw a blue Subaru with expired registration. Troopers stopped the car and contacted the driver, a 39-year-old Anchor Point man. Troopers issued him a citation for driving while license suspended.
May 24
Troopers at 12:45 p.m. while on patrol near Mile 172 Sterling Highway saw a Honda CRV with expired registration. Troopers stopped the car and contacted the driver, a 33-year-old Anchorage man, and issued him a citation for driving while license revoked.
May 26
Troopers at 11:58 a.m. went to a two-car crash near Mile 165 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a 70-year-old Kenai man driving north in a 2015 Winnebago motorhome and pulling a boat on a trailer slowed for a car in front of him to turn onto the Old Sterling Highway. A 57-year-old Homer man driving a Subaru Legacy behind him did not slow down in time and crashed into the rear end of the boat trailer, damaging the Subaru. All people involved wore seat belts and were uninjured.’
May 27
Troopers at 12:38 a.m. made a traffic stop for speeding on the driver of a Ford Focus near Mile 141 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers arrested the driver, a 31-year-old Soldotna woman, for driving while license revoked.
May 29
Troopers at 12:05 a.m. contacted a 44-year-old Michigan woman at a Ninilchik bar after they said she was involved in a disturbance. Troopers said she had consumed alcohol at more than a .02 percent breath alcohol level in violation of prior conditions of release. Troopers arrested the woman.
Troopers at 9:30 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of person in a 2000 GMC truck near Mile 152 Sterling Highway. Troopers stopped the driver, a 21-year-old Kasilof man, and found he had a registration violation. Troopers did field-sobriety tests and arrested him for driving under the influence, drugs.
May 30
Troopers at 3:03 a.m. made a traffic stop on the driver of a Hyundai Tiburon on Diamond Ridge Road for driving and equipment violations. Troopers said the driver, a 45-year-old Kasilof man, had arrest warrants for first-degree vehicle theft and violating conditions of release. Troopers arrested the man.
Troopers at 4:21 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 54-year-old man driving on the Anchor River Road in Anchor Point. Troopers issued him a citation for driving while license revoked.
May 31
Troopers at 6:29 p.m. saw a black Ford Bronco pass by them at Mile 136 Sterling Highway. Troopers recognized the driver as a 34-year-old Ninilchik man known to them and to have a suspended driver’s license from previous contacts. Troopers stopped the man and cited him for driving while license suspended.
