Aug. 10

Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited two Eagle River men for sport fishing with more than one line in Kachemak Bay.

Aug. 11

Alaska State Troopers at 8:08 a.m. received a report of a driver in a box truck driving erratically on the Sterling Highway near Ninilchik. Troopers stopped the car and cited the driver, a 43-year-old Soldotna man, for texting while driving.

Troopers contacted a 43-year-old Ninilchik man at his home after receiving a report that he had been drinking alcohol in violation of conditions of release on a felony assault charge. A social worker asked troopers to check on him because the man had a recent head injury and if he drank alcohol it could cause his brain to bleed. Troopers said the man had been drinking and arrested him.

Aug. 15

Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 9:10 p.m. stopped for speeding a 62-year-old Anchor Point man driving a Ford Explorer on the North Fork Road in Anchor Point. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence.

Aug. 16

Troopers at 3:55 a.m. arrested a 28-year-old Anchor Point man on a warrant after contacting him in a pullout near Mile 88.3 Seward Highway near Girdwood. 

Highway Patrol troopers at 3 p.m. stopped an 18-year-old Anchorage man for speeding near Mile 141 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers cited the man for driving without a valid license and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.
