Feb. 13
Alaska State Troopers at 9:20 p.m. stopped the driver of a red Ford Escort at Pioneer Avenue and Kachemak Way and cited a 16-year-old boy for driving in violation of an instructional permit.
Feb. 17
Troopers at 1 p.m. contacted a 26-year-old man at his Homer home and arrested him on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court on 2008 charges of giving false information and minor consuming alcohol.
Troopers at 5:26 p.m. while on patrol in Anchor Point stopped the driver of a green Mercedes for not stopping when entering the highway. Troopers said the 64-year-old man had a suspended license for failure to maintain liability insurance. Troopers cited him for driving while license suspended.
Feb. 18
Troopers at 3:13 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 57-year-old Anchor Point man in Ninilchik. Troopers said the man had his driver’s license revoked until 2029 and had a warrant for his arrest. Troopers also said the man put 2014 and 2015 license renewal tags on his plate that belonged to other vehicles. Troopers arrested him on the warrant and for driving while license revoked, misuse of registration and driving without insurance.
Feb. 20
Troopers at 11:20 a.m. went to a report of an unexpected death at a home near Mile 9 East End Road. Troopers found a 66-year-old Homer man had died. Troopers found no sign of foul play. Next of kin was notified.
Troopers at 7:05 p.m. went to a report of a disturbance at a Kittiwake Drive home. Troopers arrested an 18-year-old man on two outstanding warrants on original charges of minor consuming alcohol.
