Alaska State Troopers at 8:10 p.m. went to a Happy Valley home to investigate a report of an ATV crash with injuries. Troopers contacted a 32-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both of Ninilchik, at the younger man’s home. The two reported rolling their ATV while riding near the Happy Valley waterfalls. Troopers said both men drank alcohol before troopers arrived. While searching the 32-year-old man, troopers found a concealed weapon and charged him with fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon, possession of a weapon while intoxicated, and fifth-degree misconduct involving a weapon, not informing a law enforcement officer of a concealed weapon. Troopers said they also found a sawed-off shotgun in the 28-year-old man’s home and charged him with third-degree misconduct involving a weapon. Anchor Point Fire and Emergency Medical Services took the 32-year-old man to South Peninsula Hospital for minor injuries. He was treated and released.
Feb. 24
Troopers at 6:18 p.m. contacted a 15-year-old boy at a residence on Ridge Court in Homer. The boy had a warrant for his arrest. Troopers arrested the boy and transported him to the Kenai Peninsula Youth Facility.
Feb. 26
Troopers at 4:24 p.m. stopped a 54-year-old Anchor Point man on Olympic Loop in Girdwood after receiving a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and driving while license revoked.
