May 23

Alaska State Troopers at 1:45 p.m. went to a home near Mile 130 Sterling Highway for a disturbance. They arrested a 61-year-old Ninilchik man for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

May 24

Troopers at 7 p.m. made a traffic stop on a driver near Mile 129 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers allege a passenger, a 30-year-old Anchor Point man, possessed marijuana packaged for sale and issued him a summons for fifth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Bureau of Highway Patrol Troopers at 7:46 p.m. went to a truck stuck in a ditch on Deep Creek Road near Ninilchik. Troopers arrested the driver, a 50-year-old Anchorage man, for driving under the influence and fourth-degree weapons misconduct.

Troopers at 8:19 p.m. made a traffic stop near Mile 135 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik for a 27-year-old Homer man. They arrested him for driving while license revoked.

Wildlife troopers cited a 49-year-old Anchorage man for failure to record a king salmon while fishing in Cook Inlet.

Wildlife troopers cited a 49-year-old Anchorage man for failing to have a throwable personal-flotation device on board a boat.

May 25  

Wildlife troopers contacted a 55-year-old Anchorage man and a 60-year-old Anchorage man on the Ninilchik Beach and cited them for taking on overlimit of razor clams.

Highway Patrol troopers at 6:09 p.m. contacted a 23-year-old Ninilchik man driving near Mile 117 Sterling Highway and cited him for driving while license revoked.

Troopers at 6:41 p.m. contacted a person driving a Nissan Sentra near Mile 140 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik and arrested a passenger, a 29-year-old Homer man, on an outstanding warrant.

Highway Patrol troopers at 7:38 p.m. contacted a 36-year-old Anchorage man driving an ATV on the roadway near Tovarish Road and Oilwell Road in Ninilchik and arrested him for DUI.

Wildlife troopers cited a 53-year-old Homer man for taking an overlimit of butter clams on the China Poot Bay beach.

May 26

Troopers at 9:27 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 42-year-old Anchor Point woman near Mile 153 Sterling Highway and arrested her for DUI, prescription narcotics.

Troopers at 11:34 p.m. stopped a 47-year-old Soldotna man driving on Oilwell Road in Ninilchik and arrested him for driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release. They also arrested his passenger, a 26-year-old Soldotna woman, on several warrants.

Troopers at 11:50 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 27-year-old Homer man and cited him for driving while license suspended and for an equipment violation.

Wildlife troopers cited a 64-year-old Anchor Point man for taking undersized butter clams from China Poot Bay.

May 27

Troopers at 1:29 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 30-year-old Anchorage man driving near Mile 155.5 Sterling Highway and arrested him for DUI.

Troopers at 3:54 a.m. while on patrol in Ninilchik were passed by a 27-year-old Homer woman alleged to be driving more than 100 mph and nearly hitting the trooper vehicle. Troopers stopped the woman, age 27 of Homer, and arrested her for DUI. Troopers also charged her with third-degree assault for putting her passenger and the trooper in fear of serious injury.

Troopers at 4:30 a.m. went to a car crash in Anchor Point at Cave Avenue and North Fork Road. A 16-year-old boy driving a Ford Bronco lost control and rolled into the ditch. The boy wore his seatbelt and was not injured.

Troopers at 5:58 a.m. went to a car crash in Anchor Point near Mile 158.5 Sterling Highway. A 34-year-old Anchor Point man rolled his car when he swerved to avoid a moose. He wore his seatbelt and was not injured.

May 30

Troopers at 7:45 p.m. went to a home near Mile 2 North Fork Road for a disturbance. They arrested a 74-year-old Anchor Point man for fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons after the man allegedly got drunk and shot off a rifle.

May 31

Troopers at 2:10 p.m. contacted a 45-year-old Ninilchik man at his home and allege he was drunk in violation of conditions of release. They arrested him and took him to the Homer Jail.
