Skylar Paul and Paige Shubert were united in marriage on Aug. 23, 2014, at St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy, Ill. Paige is the daughter of Deb and Terry Habrock and the late Craig Shubert of Oakdale. Skylar is the son of Rebecca Paul of Homer.

Ashley Hackstadt, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Lake, Juli Shubert, Marissa Paul, Rachel Segelhorst and Ella Herges. Kenley Hackstadt was the miniature bride and Kalli Portz was the flower girl.

Blake Sommer, friend of the couple, was the best man. Groomsmen were Justin Brisk, Todd Shubert, Travis Terveer, Aaron Lewis and Zac Mau. Taylor Connolly was the miniature groom and Kylan Portz and Colton Segelhorst were the ringbearers. Ushers were Tyler Hackstadt, William Segelhorst, Phil Chandler, and Tyler Studebaker.

Paige is a 2007 graduate of Okawville High School, and a 2011 graduate from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture systems. She is currently employed at First National Bank of Dieterich-Corporate Center as a loan processor.

Skylar is the 2008 graduate from Marissa High School and 2012 graduate from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business. He is currently employed as a chemical account manager. The couple resides in Effingham, Ill.
