Pet of the Week
We’d like to introduce you to Winston. You may notice a little something different about his eyes: it’s called “entropian” and it is a genetic condition in which a portion of the eyelid is folded inward against the eyeball. He has a surgery date soon to have the eyelids repaired and will be looking for a loving home afterwards. In his approximately 7 years, he has clearly been someone’s beloved pet and then spent some time alone outdoors, but with patience and a gentle approach, he happily shows his sweet side and enjoys attention.
To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 pm. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
