Check out this guy … the shelter’s new office cat! He has taken to it quite well and now uses the desk and chair as he desires. Fluffy is a healthy, 11-year-old indoor-outdoor guy who will prefer a warm, indoor space to rest his bones. He is very affectionate, and attentive with his lizard-looking eyes, one can get lost in time when cuddling with this guy. He qualifies for the Golden Paws program and is the perfect cat lap. Adopting a senior pet is so rewarding. Give an old man a chance, won’t ya?

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
