“All who wander are not lost…” Strider is one amazing cat. This classic male tabby somehow found his way into an abandoned house this winter, and then couldn’t get out. A good Samaritan heard his cries, scratching at the window, and alerted the Animal Shelter. A team effort succeeded in freeing this gentle boy. Strider has been eating like a horse, and soaking up love and warmth now for a couple of weeks at the shelter, and is ready for his very own indoor, thank-you-very-much, home.
To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the city’s Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 235-3141.
