Shasta is a gentle spirit, a home body through and through. No loud rock ’n’ roll for this girl, thank you very much. How about just cuddle time in front of a nice warm fire? Oh, purrrfect. All white, shorthaired, with one golden eye and one blue, this quiet girl can be a tad bit shy at first but well worth the effort.   

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the city’s Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 235-3141.
