ENS Karl Swanson graduated Oct. 15 from Navy Nuclear Power School in Charleston, S.C. He is a 2010 Homer High School graduate and a 2014 University of Alaska Fairbanks graduate with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. Swanson also completed Navy Officers Candidate School in April and received his U.S. Navy officer commission as an ensign. Swanson is currently stationed at Navy Nuclear Prototype training in Ballston Spa, N.Y.
