K’eshe Serrano Sam was born at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 23, 2017, at home to Jillian Rodriguez and Brandon Sam with the help of Rite of Passage Midwifery. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. She is welcomed by her grandparents Lorelei Wagner of Miami, Fla., William Rodriguez of Jamesburg, N.J., and Gretchen Montgomery and Joseph Art Sam of Bridgeport, Calif.
