The beautiful shoreline at the Royal Lahiana Resort in Maui, Hawaii, on Oct. 12, 2012, was the site for the wedding between James Browning Olson and Heather Marie Frank, both of Anchorage. James is the son of Jeannette and Paul Morton of Homer, and James Olson of Wasilla. Heather is the daughter of Michael and Tammy Frank of Wasilla. 

Some 35 friends and family from Alaska and the Lower 48 traveled to the Valley Isle for the wedding and to participate in a variety of activities that included a large beach barbecue following the wedding rehearsal and zip-lining through thousands of feet of triple-canopy forest. 

James graduated from Homer High School in 1998. Following graduation he joined Operating Engineers Union No. 302 (Anchorage) as a heavy equipment operator.  He also is licensed to sell real estate, and invests in single and multi-family units for re-sale or retention as rental units. Heather graduated from Wasilla High School in 2002, and received her bachelor of science degree in nursing science in 2008 from University of Alaska Anchorage. She is presently employed by Providence Hospital.

The newly married couple honeymooned in Maui following the wedding, and will return home to Anchorage.
