A person at 2:47 p.m. made a 911 call that a man was pacing in the road on the Sterling Highway, yelling and carrying a cooler. Police checked on the man and found he was OK.
July 19
A man at 8:35 a.m. reported an unwanted person staying at his Bonanza Avenue home. Police responded and issued the person a trespass notice.
A woman at 5:34 p.m. reported a liquor sale violation.
A man at 10:30 p.m. reported a missing car. The car was later found.
A woman at 10:56 p.m. reported a porcupine stuck in a fishing net at a Bartlett Street home. Police notified the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
July 20
A man at 12:44 a.m. reported a boat possibly in distress off the Homer Spit. Police notified the harbormaster.
Police at 4:21 and 4:26 p.m. warned the drivers of two cars for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle on the Sterling Highway.
A woman at 9:48 p.m. reported an ill sea otter on the Spit.
July 21
A man at 2:49 a.m. reported returning to his campsite on the Spit and finding all his gear stolen. Police went to the scene and the nearby area and found the missing items and recovered all stolen gear. Police arrested a 31-year-old man for second-degree theft.
Police at 4:29 a.m. contacted a 27-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and arrested him for driving under the influence. A 29-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
A woman at 10:54 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on an employee absent from work. The woman later called and said all was OK.
A woman at 11:17 a.m. reported an expected death at home of a 95-year-old woman at a Race Road address.
A woman at 12:25 p.m. reported vandalism to a car parked on Lee Avenue.
A woman at 6:15 p.m. reported someone took her wallet from her Grubstake Avenue home. The woman later called back and said she found her wallet under her sofa.
A woman at 7:36 p.m. reported a man known to her assaulted her at her Ternview Place. She said the man was drunk and left on foot. Police caught a 46-year-old man and arrested him for two counts of fourth-degree assault and criminal mischief, all domestic violence related.
A woman at 9:06 p.m. reported a riderless horse walking down Bell Avenue.
A person at 11:15 p.m. made a 911 call of a drunk man stumbling into traffic on Pioneer Avenue and walking in the road. Police gave the man a ride to his hotel.
July 22
Police at 1:25 p.m. contacted ATV riders in the road on Kachemak Drive.
A harbor officer at 3:09 p.m. reported finding a boy without parents in the road near Mile 4 Homer Spit Road. Police responded and the parents arrived for the missing boy.
A woman at 4:44 p.m. reported a woman sitting in the newspaper recycling bin at the Homer Landfill and reading the paper.
A man at 5:47 p.m. reported a theft from a vacation rental.
July 23
A man at 1:15 p.m. reported his halibut was being taken by other fishermen on a charter. Police advised the man of his options.
A caller at 2:39 p.m. reported the loss of a necklace and ring.
A woman at 8:29 p.m. reported a verbal disturbance at an Ocean Drive Loop address. Police later contacted the parties involved and determined all was OK.
A caller at 9:36 p.m. reported a woman entered her Queets Circle home and wanted to assault her. Police responded and arrested a 41-year-old woman for assault on a police officer.
July 24
Police at 9:55 a.m. delivered a next-of-kin notification for the Anchorage Police Department.
A caller at 10:51 a.m. reported suspicious items in a bank deposit. Police retrieved the items.
A man at 11:30 a.m. reported possible identity theft.
A man at 1:45 p.m. reported the petitioner in an out-of-state domestic violence restraining order tried to contact him.
A caller at 2:02 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police stopped the suspect driver and issued a summons for driving without a license to a 40-year-old woman.
A caller at 3:02 p.m. reported finding drugs at an Ocean Drive Loop home.
A caller at 3:47 p.m. asked police to remove an uncooperative person from a Pioneer Avenue building. Police responded and issued a trespass notice.
A man at 12:41 p.m. reported a cat bite. The victim refused medics.
A caller at 6:53 p.m. reported people sitting on a couch near the bluff on Ohlson Lane. Police responded and saw nothing suspicious.
July 25
A caller at 5:28 a.m. reported a break in at a Lake Street address. Police responded and found the complaint unfounded.
A caller at 10:24 a.m. reported an unattended death of a 63-year-old man at an East End Road address. Police responded and determined the man had died in his sleep of natural causes at his home.
A woman at 3:45 p.m. reported a missing juvenile at Bishop’s Beach. Police and EMTs responded and the juvenile was found.
July 26
A man at 8:17 p.m. reported a man stole a potted plant from the porch of his Sabrina Road home and threatened him. Police responded and the man returned the plant. The man was issued a trespass notice from the home.
A harbor officer at 9:10 a.m. reported an Alaska identification card was turned in at the office but they couldn’t contact the owner.
A woman at 9:48 a.m. reported a man buying alcohol for minors, including her son.
A caller at 11:31 a.m. asked for police help in issuing a trespassing notice to an employee who was to be terminated from a Pioneer Avenue address.
A woman at 11:58 a.m. reported medicine was stolen.
A woman at 1:48 p.m. reported an unknown man tried to give a girl candy at Bishop’s Beach. The girl walked away. Police responded.
A man at 2:49 p.m. reported a man breaking into a neighbor’s shed at a City-
view Avenue address. Police responded and determined all was OK. The man was mowing the neighbor’s lawn.
A woman at 3:12 p.m. reported a child’s bicycle was missing.
Police at 8:37 p.m. contacted a 21-year-old man driving at Karen Hornaday Park and arrested him for driving without a license. Police also arrested an 18-year-old woman for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Police at 10:16 p.m. issued a summons to a 20-year-old man for minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol.
Police at 11:32 p.m. stopped a 49-year-old man driving on Bartlett Street and arrested him for driving while license revoked and driving without insurance.
July 27
A woman at 3:10 a.m. made a 911 call that her phone was stolen.
A woman at 4:52 p.m. reported a stolen bicycle.
A person at 5:45 p.m. reported a missing camera.
A caller at 8:44 p.m. reported a tour bus operator dumped gray water in front of a business on Freight Dock Road. Police advised the subjects of where to legally dump gray water.
A caller at 11:06 p.m. reported a missing adult. The person called back later to report the adult was found.
A caller at 11:22 p.m. reported a drunk man in the woods behind a Pioneer Avenue business and asked police to do a welfare check. Police took a 57-year-old man into protective custody.
July 28
A woman at 12:28 a.m. reported camping gear stolen.
A caller at 1:01 a.m. reported an unconscious man in a car on Greatland Street. Police responded and arrested a 21-year-old man for trespassing.
A caller at 5:09 a.m. reported a man threatening customers at a Sterling Highway business who refused to leave. Police responded and took a 30-year-old man into protective custody and issued him a trespass notice for a year.
A caller at 8:15 a.m. reported unattended campfires at Bishop’s Beach. Firefighters put out the fires.
A person at 10:05 a.m. reported the theft of a sign from a Spit business.
A woman at 11:36 a.m. reported a disturbance at an East End Road church. Police responded.
A woman at 12:06 p.m. reported finding evidence of someone trying to burn down a building associated with an Ohlson Lane church.
Several callers at 3:15 p.m. reported a disturbance at an event at Karen Hornaday Park. Police responded and issued a trespass notice to a person.
A caller at 8:34 p.m. asked police to check on a drunk man on Pioneer Avenue. Police had to go to another call and later received a report of the same man. Police took a 57-year-old man into protective custody.
A caller at 8:44 p.m. reported a verbal disturbance involving a person driving under the influence at a Main Street address. Police responded and cited a woman for minor consuming alcohol.
A man at 10:16 p.m. reported an unattended death of a 61-year-old man. Police responded and EMTs took the body to South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 10:56 p.m. reported dogs trying to attack a moose on South Slope Drive.
