A mental health worker at 6:08 p.m. asked for a welfare check on a person at a Pioneer Avenue address.
A woman at 10:02 p.m. reported her juvenile son violated probation conditions. Police responded.
Dec. 24
A man at 3 p.m. reported a person trespassing on his property in the Mt. Augustine Drive area.
A caller at 4:34 p.m. reported suspicious activity at a local hotel. Police responded.
A caller at 9:57 p.m. reported a man causing a disturbance at a Main Street address. Police responded and arrested a 26-year-old man for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a police officer.
A cab driver at 11 p.m. reported customers causing a disturbance on Heath Street. Police responded.
Dec. 25
A woman at 5:28 p.m. reported a man causing a disturbance at her Spit Road home. Police responded. Police told the man to leave and not return for the evening. The man left and got a ride in a taxi cab.
Police at 8:25 p.m. got a 911 call with a person hanging up at a Fairview Avenue home. Police went to the address and contacted a 25-year-old woman. Police arrested the woman for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, assault on a family member and assault on a police officer.

A caller at 1:49 p.m. reported an injured sea otter on the Homer Spit beach near Mile 2 Homer Spit Road. Police notified the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward.
Police at 11:41 p.m. reported suspicious activity in the Sterling Highway and Greatland Street area. Police contacted two men.
Dec. 27
Police at 12:02 a.m. responded to a car-moose collision on East End Road near Grewingk Circle.
Police at 12:09 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 57-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway near Crittenden Circle. Police arrested the man for driving while license suspended.
Police at 1:10 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 21-year-old woman driving on East Pioneer Avenue and arrested her for driving under the influence.
Police at 2:43 a.m. made a traffic stop on an 18-year-old man driving on East Pioneer Avenue and issued a summons to him for minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol. Police also warned two passengers for minor consuming alcohol.

A caller at 4:59 p.m. reported a possible trespasser at a Lake Street address. Police responded but could not find the person.
A man at 6:44 p.m. reported hearing loud noises in the Diamond Creek Place area. Police responded.
Dec. 29
A caller at 12:27 a.m. reported a man and woman standing in the rain next to a parked car on East End Road near Spencer Drive. Police responded but could not find the couple.
A caller at 9:58 p.m. reported hearing screaming at Bishop’s Beach. Police responded but could not find the source of the noise.
Police at 10:39 p.m. contacted a 26-year-old woman at a Bartlett Street address and took her into protective custody.

Police at 6:46 p.m. did a vehicle search at a Main Street address.
Police at 8:20 p.m. investigated the theft of an iPhone 4.
Dec. 31
A caller at 9:50 a.m. reported a man and woman yelling near the roadway on Soundview Avenue. Police responded.
Police at 5:57 p.m. contacted a 57-year-old man driving on Heath Street and arrested him for driving while license suspended and violating conditions of release.
A caller at 7 p.m. reported finding a bag with drug paraphernalia at a Sterling Highway gas station. Police later contacted the owner of the bag and arrested a 27-year-old man for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, methamphetamines.

Police at 12:13 a.m. warned people for shooting off fireworks at a Klondike Avenue address.
Jan. 2
Police at 3:39 a.m. contacted a 22-year-old man driving on Triton Court and arrested him for driving under the influence.
A caller at 10:27 a.m. reported a death at home of an 89-year-old woman at a Race Road address.
Police at 2:03 p.m. arrested a 53-year-old man for trespassing at a Sterling Highway address.
A caller at 3:50 p.m. asked police to issue an indefinite trespass notice to a person from a Sterling Highway business.
Police at 4:50 p.m. assisted medics in finding a person who had made an incoherent 911 call. Police found the caller at an assisted living care facility.
A caller at 2:24 p.m. reported a disturbance on the Spit. Police responded and found the caller’s truck had been vandalized when someone scratched it with a key.
A caller at 7:06 p.m. reported a shoplifter at a Sterling Highway address.
A woman at 10:02 p.m. reported finding an injured dog in the ditch on East End Road near Gjosund Drive that looked like it had been hit by a car. Police took the dog to a veterinarian clinic and contacted the owner.
Jan. 3
A caller at 2:33 a.m. reported hearing a possible domestic dispute at a nearby home on Sabrina Road. Police responded and determined it was a loud movie being played on a home theater system.
A caller at 2:36 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a customer at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded and advised three people not to drive.
A caller at 3:35 p.m. reported suspected drug activity at an Adams Street address. Police responded and arrested a 24-year-old man on a felony warrant.
Jan. 4
Multiple callers at 11:55 a.m. reported heavy smoke coming from a car on Bishop’s Beach. Police and firefighters responded and found the car was having mechanical problems but not on fire.
Jan. 5
A caller at 3:29 a.m. reported a man tried to get into a Herndon Street building after hours and became forceful with staff. Staff refused to allow the man inside and locked the doors. Police responded.
