Sept. 27

A woman at 9:56 p.m. reported that someone might have entered her Herndon Drive home while she was out. Nothing was reported stolen. Police responded.

Sept. 28

A caller at 12:01 a.m. reported an unwanted woman was at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded and issued the woman a trespass notice.

Police at 12:15 a.m. made a traffic stop on an 18-year-old woman on Pioneer Avenue and issued her a summons for driving while license suspended.

Police at 2:27 a.m. contacted a 20-year-old man on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, methamphetamines.

A man at 11:43 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of West Fairview Avenue all night. Police responded and issued a parking warning.

A caller at 5:10 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the bushes off FAA Road. Police responded.

A caller at 7:20 p.m. reported a suicidal man in the Aspen Lane area. Police responded and determined all was OK.

A caller at 7:15 p.m. reported a theft from a Fairview Avenue address.

Sept. 29

Police at 12:32 a.m. contacted a 20-year-old man on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for failure to appear in court.

A woman at 7:11 a.m. reported a man trying to get into her car at a Pioneer Avenue parking lot. Police responded and arrested a 21-year-old man for trespassing.

A person at 8:56 a.m. came to the police station and turned in found property.

A person at 12:09 p.m. reported a person violating conditions of release. Police contacted the suspect on Pioneer Avenue and arrested a 55-year-old woman for violating conditions of release.

A caller at 4:40 p.m. reported losing a backpack.

A person at 5:03 p.m. reported losing a wallet.

A woman at 7:30 p.m. reported finding property.

A woman at 7:53 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately,” or REDDI, complaint of a suspect driver on the Spit. Police contacted the driver and determined the person was new to the area and sightseeing.

Sept. 30

A man at 12:12 a.m. reported nuisance bears on Kia Lane. Police advised the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

A man at 1:23 p.m. reported a large hole in the middle of Heath Street. Police advised Public Works.

A bank employee at 1:39 p.m. reported a client had lost a debit card.

A school official at 1:45 p.m. reported a student possessed drugs at Homer High School.

A woman at 1:15 p.m. reported seeing a bicycle in the bushes at her East End Road property.

A caller at 6:50 p.m. reported a person driving with a revoked license.

A caller at 7:07 p.m. reported a theft.

A man at 7:46 p.m. reported finding a knife on the back porch of his Frisbee Court area home.

Police at 7:53 p.m. contacted a driver parked in a prohibited area at Bishop’s Beach.

Oct. 1

Police at 2:14 a.m. contacted a 36-year-old woman on Ben Walters Lane and arrested her for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

A woman at 5:37 a.m. made a 911 call that three horses ran in the road on the Sterling Highway near West Thomas Road.

A library worker at 9:28 a.m. reported a suspicious man at the library.

A caller at 10:49 a.m. reported finding a bike on Pioneer Avenue.

A man at 12:08 p.m. reported men threatened him with a piece of wood at a Little Fireweed Avenue address. Police responded.

A woman at 12:25 p.m. reported a campfire and cars parked in a prohibited area on Bishop’s Beach.

A woman at 2:04 p.m. reported hearing a dog being abused on Mattox Road.

A man at 4 p.m. reported an abandoned car at Bishop’s Beach.

A woman at 4:49 p.m. reported lost prescription medicine.

A man at 7 p.m. reported a theft of property from a Klondike Avenue address.

A woman at 8:45 p.m. reported a theft of property from a Danview Avenue address.

A woman at 9:56 p.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded and arrested a 57-year-old woman for domestic violence assault.

Oct. 2

Police at 1:45 a.m. removed a dead porcupine from the middle of West Hill Road.

A harbor officer at 2:18 a.m. reported suspicious men around a car on the Spit. Police responded.

A man at 2:26 a.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Sabrina Road home. Police responded and arrested a 42-year-old woman for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

An Enstar Natural Gas Company official at 9:24 a.m. advised that there would be the strong smell of natural gas in the area on Oct. 3.

A man at 9:45 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle still parked at the end of West Fairview Avenue.

A man at 10:22 a.m. reported a man yelling at him publicly and making false accusations at a Bartlett Street address.

A caller at 10:58 a.m. reported a man passed out in the back of a car parked on Ben Walters Lane. Police responded.

A woman at 2 p.m. turned in a found cell phone.

A woman at 3:30 p.m. reported a black 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck was stolen.

A caller at 4:22 p.m. reported people being rude and getting in the way of machinery at the Homer waste transfer site. The people left the area while the person made the call.

A man at 5:11 p.m. made a REDDI complaint and possible drug activity of a driver on Bunnell Avenue.

A woman at 8:58 p.m. reported a possible sighting of a stolen black 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck.

A caller at 9:50 p.m. reported a man trespassing at a Bunnell Avenue address. Police responded and arrested a 44-year-old man for trespassing.

A man at 6:40 p.m. reported a possible email fraud out of California.

Police at 11:33 p.m. contacted a 22-year-old woman at a Ben Walters Lane address and arrested her for failure to appear in court.

Oct. 4

A high school employee at 9:30 a.m. reported possible suspicious activity at Homer High School.

A man at 10:55 a.m. reported suspicious people in the Waddell Way area.

Police at 2:53 p.m. assisted the fire department and attempted a welfare check at a Pioneer Avenue address. The subject contacted police and said all was OK.

A person at 7:39 p.m. made a 911 call of a hit-and-run crash on Lake Street. Police responded and arrested an 18-year-old man for hit-and-run, driving while license revoked and violating conditions of release.

A man at 7:45 p.m. reported the theft of license plates from a car on Kachemak Drive.

A man at 10:11 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on Triton Court. Police responded and arrested a 52-year-old woman for driving under the influence, resisting arrest, refusing a chemical test, assault on a police officer and criminal mischief.

Oct. 5

A person at 3 a.m. made a 911 call of a verbal dispute at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and issued disorderly conduct warnings.

A woman at 10:24 a.m. reported a bear got into an outbuilding on Beluga Court and got into trash.

A 49-year-old woman at 11:11 a.m. called to turn herself in for shoplifting. Police responded and issued her a summons for fourth-degree theft.

A woman at 3:04 p.m. reported a possible missing person. Police advised her of her options.

A person at 3:30 p.m. reported people stopping on the side of the Sterling Highway to take photos of moose.

A man at 7:30 p.m. reported hearing gunshots in the Rogers Loop area.

A caller at 8:18 p.m. reported a man waving a stick at a local hotel.

A caller at 10:29 p.m. reported hearing loud gunshot-like noises in the West Hill Road area. Police contacted several men and warned them not to shoot off firecrackers.

A man at 11:08 p.m. made a 911 call of multiple drunk people at an East End Road business hitting windows with their fists.

Oct. 6

A caller at 1:06 a.m. reported a domestic dispute in progress between a drunk man and woman at a Cozy Cove Drive address. Police responded and separated the couple.

A man at 1:17 a.m. made a 911 call that two men tried to get into his Spit Road home and tampered with cars in a parking lot. Police were on other calls and could not respond. A harbor officer patrolled the area. Police later responded and took a 22-year-old man into protective custody.

A man at 1:34 a.m. reported a drunk woman assaulted him at a Klondike Avenue address. He asked police to issue her a trespass notice. No police officers were available and the dispatcher advised the people to separate for the night. Police later responded and found two very drunk people with conflicting arguments and no visual evidence of assault. The parties were separated for the night.

A man at 3:10 a.m. reported finding a lost dog in the Pioneer Avenue area. Police took the dog to the animal shelter.

A man at 3:20 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on Pioneer Avenue. Police contacted the suspect driver and warned the person for distracted driving.

A woman at 4:10 p.m. reported a car towing a scooter on West Hill Road.

A person at 8 p.m. made a 911 REDDI call of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police contacted the suspect car and arrested a 36-year-old woman for DUI.

A person at 10:36 p.m. made a 911 call of a disturbance at Ben Walters Lane. Police responded and arrested a 29-year-old man for possessing heroin, resisting arrest and assault on an officer.
