A man at 6:16 a.m. reported hearing gunshots in the East End Road and Ben Walters Lane area. Police responded but could not find the source.
A South Peninsula Hospital employee at 7:57 a.m. reported a combative patient. Police responded.
A caller at 2:45 p.m. reported finding a passport. Police were unable to contact the passport owner by phone.
Alaska State Troopers at 11:26 p.m. asked for police assistance with a suspicious man in the Cityview Avenue area. Police responded and searched the area where a man was suspected of trespassing at a trooper’s property. Troopers arrested an 18-year-old man for second-degree criminal trespassing.
April 24
A man at 9:15 a.m. reported a man driving without a license whose car also was uninsured and unregistered.
A person at 9:48 a.m. reported finding a blue adult bicycle behind a Pioneer Avenue business.
A man at 11:43 a.m. reported another man lost a red wallet the weekend of April 20-21.
A man at 12:29 p.m. reported the driver of a green military-surplus dump truck losing bags of garbage from the back on East End Road near Mariner Drive. Police contacted the driver who said he would return to the area and pick up litter.
A caller at 1:50 p.m. reported a person in a two-tone blue van driving recklessly on Poopdeck Street.
A prisoner at 2:30 p.m. tried to escape from the Homer Jail. Police captured the prisoner, a 22-year-old man, and charged him with attempted escape and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
A caller at 5:21 p.m. reported a reckless driver in a Jeep near Mile 168.5 Sterling Highway. Police contacted the driver but did not see signs of impairment. Police suspected a road-rage incident.
A woman at 6:05 p.m. delivered to the police station drugs she found in her daughter’s room.
A man at 7:45 p.m. reported a lost computer.
A woman at 9:09 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on her mother. Police found the woman to be OK.

A caller at 8:34 a.m. reported a rental unit broken into and damaged at an East End Road address. Police responded.
A man at 8:49 a.m. reported another person used his personal information against him.
Police at 9:24 a.m. assisted the Office of Children’s Services with a home visit.
A person at 9:45 a.m. reported a coworker photographing other coworkers while at work. Police provided the woman with options.
A health care provider at 11:14 a.m. reported a person made suicidal statements. Police responded.
A man at 11:15 a.m. turned in a car part that fell off a white pickup truck while at the Lake Street stoplight.
Police at 1:20 p.m. reported patrol vehicles damaged in the parking lot of the station.

Two subjects at 8:21 a.m. and 10:08 a.m. presented themselves for sex offender registration.
A man at 1 p.m. reported a theft from a car parked on Kachemak Drive.
A man at 2:16 p.m. reported a domestic dispute at an Early Spring Street address. Police responded and arrested a 55-year-old woman who had not reported to court as required.
A woman at 5:36 p.m. reported photos taken of her.
Police at 5:49 p.m. contacted juveniles at a parking lot at Karen Hornaday Park where alcohol was present. Police asked an adult over age 21 to leave the premises with alcohol.
Police at 6:29 p.m. stopped a man driving erratically on Pioneer Avenue. Police issued the man a drunk driving warning and he got a taxi ride home.
A caller at 8:14 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. Police contacted the suspect driver on Ohlson Lane and arrested a 26-year-old man for driving under the influence.
A man at 9:33 p.m. asked police for options regarding his daughter who had not returned home.
April 27
A man at 9:19 a.m. reported a disturbance at a Klondike Avenue home. Police responded and separated the parties for the evening.
A woman at 2:04 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a family member. Police could not locate the person. The woman called back and reported she had gotten in touch with a friend who contacted the relative and found all to be OK.
A woman at 5:08 p.m. reported a car with a loud muffler she suspected to be in violation of city noise ordinances.
A woman at 5:48 p.m. turned in a cell phone found at Karen Hornaday Park.
A person at 6:13 p.m. reported possible unauthorized camping off a walking trail on Fairview Avenue.
Police at 10:16 p.m. issued a summons to a 29-year-old man for driving without a license.
April 28
Police at 12:10 a.m. arrested a 50-year-old man for DUI after stopping him on the Sterling Highway.
A woman at 10:07 a.m. reported she left her wallet on top of her car and drove away on Jake’s Little Fireweed Lane.
Police at 9:33 p.m. stopped a 54-year-old woman driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested her for driving while license revoked and driving without an ignition interlock device.
April 29
A man at 9:15 a.m. reported a pedestrian hit by a car was at his house needing a phone. The pedestrian refused treatment.
Troopers
April 22
Alaska State Troopers at 9:37 a.m. investigated a report that a 38-year-old Anchor Point man had violated the terms of a domestic violence protective order. Troopers forwarded charges to the district attorney’s office.
April 25
Troopers at 3:16 p.m. contacted a 46-year-old Homer woman while investigating a disabled car at Portage near the Seward Highway. Police arrested the woman on an outstanding warrant and took her to the Anchorage Jail.
