A caller at 1:16 p.m. reported a car crash on East Hill Road. Police issued a summons to a 35-year-old man for driving while license suspended.
A caller at 1:52 p.m. reported noise coming from ATVs in the Pennock Street area.
A caller at 2:06 p.m. reported vandalism at a Sterling Highway address.
A caller at 2:31 p.m. reported a car crash on Kachemak Drive. Police issued a summons to a 38-year-old man for failure to provide proof of insurance.
A caller at 3:40 p.m. reported a drunk man walking on the side of Fairview Avenue.
Several callers at 1:19 p.m. reported a man going door-to-door selling items and acting strangely in the Woodside Avenue area.
A person at 6:35 p.m. made a 911 call reporting possibly illegal activity on the Spit. Police responded.
June 21
A caller at 11:20 a.m. asked to speak with an officer regarding a civil issue.
A caller at 4:16 p.m. reported a violation of a custody agreement.
A caller at 4:45 p.m. reported three small children left unattended in a car at a Sterling Highway parking lot. Police responded.
A caller at 4:53 p.m. reported a person possibly smoking marijuana in a car at Bishop’s Beach.
A caller at 11:35 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Lakeside Drive. Police responded.
June 22
A caller at 9:38 a.m. reported a whale caught in a fishing net in Kachemak Bay. Police notified the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
A caller at 11:22 a.m. reported a truck driver using air-assisted brakes excessively.
A caller at 11:28 a.m. reported shoplifting at a Kachemak Drive business.
A caller at 1:55 p.m. reported a man acting strangely.
A caller at 2:04 p.m. reported a shoplifter in custody at a Sterling Highway business. Police arrested a 40-year-old woman for concealment of merchandise and trespassing.
A person at 11:41 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at a Karen Hornaday Park campsite. Police responded and determined the disturbance was verbal only. Police arrested a 23-year-old man for driving under the influence.
June 23
A person at 5:44 a.m. flagged down an officer to report a drunk man passed out in a public area on the Sterling Highway. Police responded and took the man into protective custody
A caller at 11:56 a.m. reported being concerned for a duck with ducklings attempting to cross the Sterling Highway. Police notified the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
A caller at 2:04 p.m. reported receiving a stolen cell phone in the mail.
Police at 9:02 p.m. contacted a 19-year-old man driving on Ohlson Lane and arrested him for driving while license revoked.
June 24
Several callers at 1:33 a.m. reported a naked man running through town on Pioneer Avenue. Police found the suspect, a 43-year-old man, sleeping in an unoccupied car and arrested him for criminal mischief.
A caller at 2:13 a.m. reported a naked man starting fires in a Sterling Highway business parking lot. Police responded and the man fled on foot.
A caller at 5:22 a.m. requested police do a drive-through at a Pioneer Avenue parking lot because of people loitering.
A caller at 11:02 a.m. reported a theft from a boat parked at a motorhome park on the Spit.
A caller at 11:50 a.m. reported drunk men near the front door of a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and told the men to move along.
A caller at 12:31 p.m. reported a drunk man got into a car and drove away from a Lake Street address. Police stopped the suspect driver and arrested a 52-year-old man for DUI and driving while license limited, suspended, revoked or cancelled.
A caller at 3:25 p.m. reported two drunk men drove away in electric grocery carts from Safeway. Police stopped the two men and issued them an indefinite trespass notice from Safeway.
A caller at 3:50 p.m. reported unattended children in a running vehicle parked at a Lake Street lot.
A caller at 9:07 p.m. reported ongoing problems with drivers speeding and running stop signs at Bishop’s Beach on Beluga Place.
Police at 9:12 p.m. stopped a 34-year-old man driving on Kachemak Drive and issued him a summons of driving while license revoked and not having motor vehicle insurance.
A caller at 9:45 p.m. asked police to make extra patrols on West Fairview Avenue by a vacant lot where people might be squatting or using drugs.
June 25
A caller at 10:04 a.m. reported two cars parked on his Klondike Avenue property and said he would like the owners to be advised they are trespassing.
A caller at 10:47 a.m. made a complaint of noise from ATVs being ridden on Pennock Street.
A person at 3:59 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a road rage incident on Ocean Drive.
A woman at 9:41 p.m. came to the police station with a white-and-gray husky dog she caught killing chickens at a Skyline Drive home.
June 26
Police at 12:37 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 34-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for DUI.
A called at 2:18 a.m. reported a drunk spouse destroying household property at a Fairview Avenue home. Police responded.
Police at 9:50 p.m. made a traffic stop on a driver on the Spit and warned the person for DUI involving drugs.
June 27
A person at 2:55 a.m. made a 911 call of suspicious noises coming from a Lakeshore Drive home. Police patrolled the area.
A caller at 6:20 a.m. reported voices and pounding noises coming from a Lakeshore Drive home. Police found nothing suspicious.
