A caller at 12:46 p.m. reported a possible theft at a Grubstake Avenue address.
A caller at 7:01 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Mountainview Avenue address. Police responded.
Police on March 7, March 8, March 9, March 10, March 11 and contacted drivers parked east of the Bishop’s Beach parking lot and warned them that the area is now closed to vehicles.
March 8
Police at 3:17 p.m. contacted an 18-year-old man driving at Bishop’s Beach and issued him a summons for driving in violation of instructional permit.
A person at 3:59 p.m. came to the police station and reported harassing behavior.
A caller at 3:27 p.m. reported losing identification and a debit card.
A caller at 5:15 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances at a Heath Street home. Police responded.
A caller at 9:59 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a roommate at a Main Street address. All was OK.
March 9
A caller at 9:23 a.m. reported a break-in at a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 5:32 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Kachemak Way. Police responded and found nothing suspicious.
March 10
A caller at 10:04 a.m. reported a man was issued a trespass notice from a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 3:52 p.m. reported a person stayed illegally overnight at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded and issued a trespass notice to a person.
A caller at 4:01 p.m. reported a woman who might be impaired was entering cars parked at an Ocean Drive address. Police responded and transported the woman to the hospital.
A person at 5:11 p.m. made a 911 call asking for help getting into detox treatment. Police responded to a Pioneer Avenue address and transported the person to the hospital.
A caller at 6:58 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and arrested a 63-year-old man for trespassing and fourth-degree theft.
A caller at 10:30 p.m. reported people putting objects in the roadway on the Sterling Highway. Police responded but could not find the objects.
Police at 11:02 p.m. did a security check of the Homer Spit beach and issued a warning to a person for camping in an unauthorized area. The campers moved to an alternate location.
March 11
A person at 3:10 a.m. went to the police station and turned himself or herself in on an outstanding arrest warrant.
A person at 9:29 a.m. turned in a found bicycle.
Several callers at 2:10 p.m. reported a person speeding in a car hit a stop sign on Ocean Drive and FAA Road and then fled the scene. Police responded but could not find the driver. A towing company removed the car. Police later found and contacted the driver.
A caller at 5:05 p.m. reported being threatened.
March 12
A caller at 12:10 a.m. reported a suicidal person. The person was taken to the hospital and later to the Homer Jail for protective custody.
A caller at 10:53 a.m. reported a verbal confrontation with a customer at a Pioneer Avenue business.
A man and woman at 2:03 p.m. reported received being threatened and a civil issue. Police contacted the couple and advised them of their options.
A caller at 3:46 p.m. reported suspicious circumstances at a Skyline Drive address. Police responded and arrested a 35-year-old man for criminal mischief.
A person at 5:01 p.m. made a 911 call of a man stumbling into the wood off the Sterling Highway. Police responded and transported the man to the hospital.
A caller at 7:36 p.m. reported a theft from a car parked on Fairview Avenue.
A caller at 9:58 p.m. reported a child found drug paraphernalia at Karen Hornaday Park.
Police at 10:18 p.m. contacted an 18-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for minor in possession of alcohol. The vehicle was released to a sober driver.
March 13
A caller at 1:57 p.m. reported damage to personal property at a Kachemak Drive address.
Police at 8:01 p.m. contacted a 67-year-old man driving on Pioneer Avenue and arrested him for driving under the influence.
