A woman at 10:21 a.m. came to the police station with a suspicious letter.
A man at 10:37 a.m. reported vandalism done on public property on Fairview Avenue.
A school official at 1:40 p.m. reported damage done by vehicles to the lawn at West Homer Elementary School.
A city official at 2 p.m. reported a caller said signs on the Sterling Highway near Main Street caused a traffic hazard.
A man at 6:31 p.m. made a 911 call of a car crash with no injuries on East End Road.

Police at 10 a.m. arrested a 51-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.
Police at 10:45 a.m. served a summons.
A woman at 4:07 p.m. came to the police station and asked about the consequences of physical confrontation. Police advised the woman of her options.

Alaska State Troopers at 1:50 a.m. asked for police assistance.
A caller at 9:08 a.m. reported a lost dog. The caller later reported finding the dog.
A person at 10:01 a.m. made a 911 call of a woman not breathing at a Ben Walters Lane address. Police and EMTs responded.
A caller at 12:22 p.m. reported receiving threats regarding an Oct. 2 car crash.
A library official at 9:49 a.m. reported valuable electronics not returned by a library patron.
A caller at 1:01 p.m. reported seeing a possible wanted subject.
A woman at 4:28 p.m. asked that several people be issued trespass notices from her Main Street home.
A hospital worker at 5:48 p.m. reported an impaired woman left South Peninsula Hospital against medical advice and asked police to do a welfare check. Police could not find the woman.

A person at 10:10 a.m. reported the theft of memory cards from a Lake Street store.
A trooper at 11:09 a.m. reported a car crash with damage only on Thurston Drive. Police responded and issued a summons to a 21-year-old man for not having motor vehicle insurance.
A caller at 3:51 p.m. reported water flowing over the road on Smokey Bay Way. Police notified Public Works.
Police at 8:15 p.m. contacted a 22-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for not having liability insurance.
Oct. 6
Police at 1:44 a.m. contacted a driver on Pioneer Avenue and warned the person for driving under the influence, drugs. Police secured the car and the occupants left on foot.
Police at 3:36 a.m. contacted a man driving on East End Road and arrested him for DUI, failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer, two counts of weapons misconduct and minor consuming alcohol.
A woman at 11:30 a.m. reported a car crash on Pioneer Avenue.
A man at 2:45 p.m. reported finding a dead black bear cub washed up on the Homer Spit. Police notified an Alaska Wildlife Trooper.
A caller at 4:18 p.m. reported finding an exposed wire on the Spit beach. Police notified Public Works.
Police at 5:39 p.m. assisted troopers and EMTs with traffic control and an accident scene investigation at Diamond Ridge Road and the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:16 p.m. reported an excessive number of cars at a Tulin Bluff Court lot.

A caller at 9:53 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded but couldnt find any suspects.

A caller at 9:31 a.m. reported a man cutting driftwood at Bishops Beach. Police responded and warned a suspect for a city parking ordinance violation.
A man at 12:36 p.m. turned in a found day pack.
A woman at 10:22 a.m. reported a missing bike.
A woman at 12:06 p.m. reported speeding vehicles at Karen Hornaday Park.
A caller at 1:30 p.m. reported a disturbance at a Noview Avenue home. Police responded.
Police at 7:46 p.m. arrested a 25-year-old man for driving while license suspended.
A caller at 10:37 p.m. reported loud music on Linda Court. Police responded and a person agreed to lower the volume.
