The Homer Council on the Arts offers several opportunities for after-school learning. ArtQuest art classes for ages 10 to 18 start Sept. 9 and are held 3:45-5:15 p.m. Monday and Wednesday afternoons, with the first session Sept. 9 to Oct. 16. Starting Sept. 12 is TheatreShakes, a youth-teen theater program for ages 8 to 18. Classes are 3:45-5:15 p.m. Thursdays and run Sept. 12 to Nov. 14.
