The September recipient of the Homer Flex High School Phoenix Award is Keeley Dabney.
Each month, the school staff pick a student to receive the Homer Flex Phoenix Award based on their embodiment of the school’s values: respect, ownership and productivity.
Dabney, a junior, is an important member of the Flex community. She works hard to complete her work in a timely manner and to function at a high academic level. Dabney is talented and creative, and is a kind and good friend. She always has something interesting to add to any conversation and comes to school each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to our community. With a quiet sense of humor and a helping hand for her peers, Dabney is truly a special student in our community. And she is a champion of dancing, especially to “Berries and Cream!”
