April 22
A person at 9:30 a.m. went to the police station to report a cyclist not following traffic laws at Poopdeck Street and the Homer Bypass, who was almost hit by a vehicle several times. An officer was unable to locate the cyclist.
A caller at 2:10 p.m. reported forced entry of their vehicle on East Pioneer Avenue and that items were taken out of it. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 3:40 p.m. reported a minor possibly in distress. An officer contacted the person, who was not a juvenile and was OK.
An officer made a security check of Jack Gist Park and contacted a 30-year-old man with an outstanding warrant. The man was arrested and taken to the Homer Jail.
April 23
An officer at 8:40 a.m. warned a driver for speeding on the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 10:15 a.m. reported a moose stuck in the fence at the Homer Airport. Officers left a message with the proper agency to handle it.
Officers at 8:41 p.m. arrested a 51-year-old woman on an outstanding warrant on Main Street.
Officers at 9:53 p.m. assisted the Homer Volunteer Fire Department on Spit Road.
April 24
A 53-year-old man at 1:48 a.m. went to the police station and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
A caller at 5:50 p.m. reported a dog at large in the area of El Sarino Court that was chasing sandhill cranes. The animal control officer was advised.
An officer at 9:38 p.m. advised some people to not camp on private property or city property, on Ben Walters Lane.
April 25
A caller at 1:15 a.m. reported an assault in a bar on Shelford Street. Officers were unable to locate a suspect.
An officer at 8:55 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Glennview and the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 9:03 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone on the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:15 a.m. reported a vehicle that crashed into a building on Fish Dock Road. There were no injuries.
An officer at 12:24 p.m. warned a driver for erratic driving at Main Street and Fairview Avenue.
Another agency at 5:46 p.m. passed on a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle at Mile 172 Sterling Highway. A Homer officer contacted the driver and gave them a DUI warning.
A caller at 11:24 p.m. reported drug information. Officers contacted a 40-year-old man on East Pioneer Avenue and gave him a summons for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
April 27
A caller at 2:35 p.m. reported suspicious men soliticting car repair work in Mariner Park.
An officer at 10:20 p.m. contacted an unoccupied vehicle on Kachemak Drive that was left running while in long term parking. The officer was unable to find the driver.
April 28
An officer at 4:58 a.m. contacted a man walking in the road on East End Road near Home Run Oil. The officer told the man to stay out of the roadway.
A caller at 4:49 p.m. requested a welfare check on a “distraught” woman at Mile 169.5 Sterling Highway. People the officer contacted were given a ride to a medical facility.
Officers at 6:36 p.m. took a woman into protective custody on Bartlett Street because she was under the influence of drugs. She was taken to the Homer Jail holding cell.
A caller at 7:56 p.m. reported a domestic disturbance on Hillside Place. Officers responded to the scene and arrested a 20-year-old man for violating conditions of release. The man was treated for injuries.
Multiple callers at 9:08 p.m. reported a single vehicle rollover at Lake Street and Ocean Drive. The 23-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, a weapons offense and for refusing a chemical test.
April 29
A caller at 4:27 a.m. reported a robbery on Main Street. An officer responded to the area.
A caller at 9:10 a.m. reported a burglary of a business on Spit Road. An officer went to the scene.
Multiple callers at 12:22 p.m. requested a welfare check on a man who was possible in distress on Ohlson Lane. An officer went to the location and found all was OK.
A caller at 4:08 p.m. reported an unknown man trespassing on property on Lee Drive and digging inside a dumpster. An officer went to the area but was unable to locate anyone.
Officers responded to a vehicle collision with a moose at Thompson Drive and East End Road. There were no injuries.
Troopers
April 25
Alaska State Troopers responded to the business of McNeil Canyon Meats in Homer for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed two men entered the business in the early morning hours and stole items totaling several thousand dollars. Investigation is continuing.

Joseph G. Tanape, 46, third-degree sexual abuse of a minor, and first-degree harassment. Both domestic violence related.
Joseph E. Clark, 33, violating a protective order for stalking or sexual assault. In a separate case, he was charged with the same thing.
Veniamin P. Basargin, 40, fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Logan Lucas, 23, third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Hans R. Pedersen, 20, violating conditions of release.
Albert R. Chaddock, 27, fourth-degree assault.
Jacob J.L. Shangin, 23, driving under the influence, fourth-degree misconduct involving weapons and refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Michael C. Covey. 30, driving under the influence.
Tyler A. Nelson-Mobeck, 25, violating conditions of release.
