A person at 12:35 p.m. made a 911 call reporting a man and woman yelled at each other in a Sterling Highway business parking lot. Police responded but could not locate the couple.
A caller at 1:10 p.m. reported a vehicle vandalized at a Kachemak Drive parking lot.
A caller at 2:54 p.m reported items stolen from a Pioneer Avenue business.
A person at 4:15 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic disturbance at a Mount Augustine Drive home. Police responded and arrested a 51-year-old man for domestic violence assault.

A person at 2:29 a.m. made a 911 call reporting a vehicle horn sounded continually at Bishop’s Beach.
A caller at 11:41 a.m. reported a theft from a Skyline Drive mailbox.
A caller at 4:14 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle in a Ben Walters Lane parking lot. Police responded and contacted the car. They did not see signs of drug activity in the area.

A caller at 10:44 a.m. reported a theft at a Fairview Avenue address.
A caller at 1 p.m. reported fraud attempts by phone.
A caller at 3:23 p.m. reported a theft from a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 3:59 p.m. reported receiving a harassing voicemail.
A caller at 6:27 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police contacted the driver but did not see any signs of impairment.
A caller at 7:40 p.m. reported someone stole medications from a Fairview Avenue address.
Dec. 30
An officer at 1:23 a.m. saw an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on Kachemak Drive. Police at 11:42 a.m. contacted the registered owner and determined the vehicle had been stolen.
A caller at 9:42 a.m. reported possible custodial interference.
A person at 11:41 a.m. made a 911 call of a dispute over property at a Main Street address. Police responded and the property was returned without incident.
A caller at 12:35 p.m. reported a driver in a vehicle behind them rear-ended their car while at a stop sign on the Sterling Highway. The other driver then followed the caller and yelled things at them, the caller said. Police responded.
A caller at 12:25 p.m. reported finding drug paraphernalia on the Spit.
A caller at 1:23 p.m. reported a shoplifter had left a Sterling Highway business.
A person at 2:23 p.m. made a 911 call reporting a vehicle had been taken from a residence and not returned.
A 27-year-old man went to the police station and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

A caller at 8:40 a.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on East Hill Road that went into the ditch. Police contacted the driver and determined the driver wasn’t impaired.
Alaska State Troopers at 6:13 p.m. reported a suspected hit-and-run driver headed inbound to Homer from the Sterling Highway at Diamond Ridge. Police contacted the suspect driver and arrested a 65-year-old man for driving under the influence.
A caller at 9:10 p.m. reported a man had been missing for more than two hours. The caller reported at 10:24 p.m. that the man had been found.

A caller at 12:55 a.m. reported a fight in progress at a Pioneer Avenue business Police responded and arrested a 37-year-old man for disorderly conduct.
A caller at 4 a.m. reported a theft from a Pioneer Avenue business.
A caller at 3:31 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a family member.
A person at 7:35 p.m. made a 911 call over a property dispute on Bell Avenue with drunk people involved. Police responded.
A caller at 7:57 p.m. reported a possibly drunk man stumbling on the sidewalk on Pioneer Avenue and not properly dressed for the weather. Police responded but could not find the man.
A person at 9:19 p.m. reported hearing gunshots and seeing a large bonfire on West Terrace Boulevard. Police responded and contacted the people involved.
Jan. 2
A man at 1:20 p.m. turned in at the police station a phone found on the Poopdeck Trail.
Police at 11:22 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 63-year-old man driving on Main Street and arrested the man for driving under the influence, drugs.
Jan. 3
A caller at 1:59 a.m. reported hearing suspicious noises outside a Grubstake Avenue home. Police responded.
A caller at 10:37 a.m. reported a possible REDDI driver near Mile 2.5 East End Road. Police could not locate the suspect driver.
A caller at 12:16 p.m. reported a vehicle hit a Kachemak Drive building.
A caller at 12:18 p.m. reported a possible REDDI driver on Calhoun Court near Lee Drive. Police contacted the suspect driver and issued him a citation for driving while license revoked.
A 35-year-old man at 2:21 p.m. turned himself in at the police station on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. Police arrested the man and then released him on bail.
A caller at 3:05 p.m. reported someone might be feeding wildlife at a Sabrina Road address.
A caller at 5:25 p.m. reported a shoplifter at a Lake Street business.
A person at 5 p.m. turned in to the police station property found at Karen Hornaday Park.
A person at 9:32 p.m. made a 911 call of two drunk women causing a disturbance at a Ben Walters Lane address.
A caller at 10:16 p.m. reported a woman said someone was trying to harm her. Police responded.
Troopers
Dec. 20
Alaska State Troopers at 6:32 p.m. made a traffic stop on an 81-year-old Eagle River man driving near Berusa Road and the Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence.
Dec. 23
Troopers at 9 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 47-year-old Anchor Point woman on Pioneer Avenue. Troopers arrested the woman for DUI.
Dec. 25
Troopers at 9:27 p.m. went to a disturbance near Mile 11 North Fork Road in Anchor Point. Troopers said a 49-year-old Anchor Point woman hit her boyfriend in the head with a plate and broke numerous household goods. Troopers arrested her for third-degree assault, domestic violence, a felony, because she had two prior domestic violence convictions in the last 10 years. Troopers also charged her with third-degree criminal mischief, domestic violence.
Dec. 28
Troopers at 2 p.m. contacted a 49-year-old Anchor Point man in the parking lot of an Anchor Point business after seeing him driving a vehicle. Troopers arrested the man on a warrant for failure to appear in court. Troopers said the man resisted arrest. Following an investigation, troopers said the man had a homemade license plate on his vehicle and that he had a suspended driver’s license.
Dec. 29
Troopers at 10 a.m. received a 911 call from a boy reporting his father assaulted him at their Voznesenka home. Troopers said a 40-year-old Voznesenka man assaulted his son on the evening of Dec. 28. Troopers arrested the man.
Dec. 30
Troopers at 8:35 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 41-year-old Homer man in Anchor Point and arrested him for DUI. The man also refused to provide a breath sample and troopers charged him with refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Jan. 1
Troopers at 10 a.m. went to a single-vehicle rollover near Mile 8 East End Road. Troopers said a 68-year-old Homer man lost control of his red Toyota pickup truck, rolled it and went into the ditch resting on its wheels. The driver wore his seatbelt and had minor injuries. Kachemak Emergency Services medics took the man to South Peninsula Hospital.

Daryn Holmes, 38, charge dismissed, fourth-degree assault.
Corey Rosano, 39, charges dismissed, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor, one count of unlawful exploitation of a minor, four counts possession of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and possession of child pornography. He was sentenced to 15 years in jail with five years suspended on the sexual abuse of a minor charge and eight years in jail with four years suspended on the child pornography charge, with time to be served consecutively. He was ordered to pay $100 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered not to consume alcohol or marijuana or be in places where alcohol is present or served; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund dividend and pay restitution; ordered not to have contact with his victims or their families; ordered to provide a DNA sample on request; ordered to submit to a search or breath test; ordered not to knowingly have contact with anyone under age 18 or be at places where children are present, including schools and playgrounds; ordered to participate in substance abuse screening and programs and to participate in and complete sex offender treatment programs; ordered not to possess sexually explicit material or be in places where it is sold; ordered not to open an account with an internet provider or access the internet without permission of the probation officer; ordered not to open a social media or dating sites account; ordered to inform all members of the household he is residing of his criminal history; ordered to register as a sex offender upon release from prison; and was placed on probation for 18 years after serving time.
Alida Dunning, 51, charge dismissed, refusal to submit to a chemical test. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Rheanna R. Tussey, 23, charge dismissed, second-degree criminal trespassing. She pleaded guilty to third-degree theft. She was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 20 days suspended and ordered to perform 80 hours of community work service; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $100 suspended jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend and pay restitution; ordered not to have contact with Ulmer’s Drug and Hardware; and was placed on probation for one year.
Alexandra K.R. Robinson, 26, Anchorage, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted first-degree vehicle theft. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend and pay restitution; ordered to forfeit items seized and not have contact with her victims; and was placed on probation for one year. She also pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked and was fined $1,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended; and had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days. She also pleaded guilty to fourth-degree theft and was fined $500.
Gilbert D. Leonor, 44, Anchorage, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted first-degree vehicle theft. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend and pay restitution; ordered to forfeit items seized and not have contact with his victims; and was placed on probation for one year.
Nicholas Dufour, 32, pleaded guilty to reckless driving. He was fined $1,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 100 days in jail with 95 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; had his driver’s license revoked for 30 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Merissa B. Osmar, 22, pleaded guilty to violating conditions of release. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $100 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to get a mental health screening and comply with recommendations; ordered not to have contact with Ulmer’s Drug and Hardware Store; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend and pay restitution; and was placed on probation for one year. She also pleaded guilty to fourth-degree theft and was fined $500 with the option of paying the fine through community work service.
