A caller at 10:30 a.m. reported being solicited the night before for money outside a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 12:59 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a Sterling Highway business and asked for help in removing it.
Multiple callers at 3:33 p.m. reported a drunk man in the road on West Hill Road near Highland Drive. Police responded and provided the man a safe ride home.
A caller at 4:39 p.m. reported a possibly suicidal person at an East End Road address. Police contacted the person.
A caller at 4:45 p.m. reported the possible location of a wanted subject. Police responded but could not find the person.
A person at 6 p.m. made a 911 call of an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch off the Sterling Highway. Police responded and found all was OK.
A caller at 7:30 p.m. reported fraudulent use of a credit or debit card out of state.
A caller at 9:29 p.m. reported a man and woman in a car stuck in a snow berm on South Slope Drive near East Hill Road. Police responded but the people were gone on arrival.
A caller at 9:17 p.m. reported laser lights from someone’s Christmas tree ornament was shining directly into the living room of his home on Fairview Avenue.
Police at 9:28 p.m. arrested a 24-year-old woman on a warrant at a Forest Glen Avenue home.

Police at 7:29 a.m. assisted medics in responding to the unattended death of a woman at a Kachemak Drive home.
Police at 12:24 p.m. contacted a man on Pioneer Avenue and advised him he had a bench warrant in a civil case.
A caller at 1:08 p.m. asked police to issue a trespass notice to a person from a Ben Walters Lane address.
A caller at 3:38 p.m. reported a dispute over items at a Kachemak Drive address. The caller later reported a man trespassed on a vessel at the address. Police responded.
A caller at 4:55 p.m. reported damage to property at a Lake Street address.
A caller at 6:30 p.m. reported an assault that happened earlier at a Jenny Way address.
A caller at 5:46 p.m. reported hearing suspicious conversation at a Soundview Avenue address.
Police at 8:37 p.m. contacted a driver on Pioneer Avenue and issued a driving-under-the-influence warning.
A caller at 9:58 p.m. reported a person soliciting in a Sterling Highway parking lot. Police responded.

A caller at 12:54 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the Bayview Avenue residential area. Police responded.
A caller at 1:16 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Rangeview Avenue with a man inside. Police responded but could not find the vehicle.
A man at 8:22 a.m. came to the police station for advice regarding threats.
A caller at 9:30 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person asleep in public restrooms on West Pioneer Avenue. Police responded but the person had left.
A caller at 11:47 a.m. reported someone drove a car on the lawn of a Smokey Bay Way business and caused damage.
A caller at 3:45 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person driving on Ben Walters Lane. Police contacted a 53-year-old man and arrested him for driving under the influence.
A caller at 6:02 p.m. reported a vehicle with flashers on that had been parked for a while on the Spit. Police responded but the vehicle had left.
A caller at 7:40 p.m. reported keys left in the door of a Sterling Highway business. Police and the business owner responded and retreived the keys. All was OK.
A man at 9:25 p.m. reported suspicious activity at an East End road address.
A caller at 9:34 p.m. reported a truck stuck on Bishop’s Beach with the tide coming in. Police responded.

A caller at 10:16 a.m. reported fraud at a Sterling Highway business.
A man at 2:55 p.m. went to the police station and turned in a duffel bag found at an Ohlson Lane address.
Callers at 3:32 p.m. and 3:42 a.m. Dec. 16 reported a suspicious vehicle on Kachemak Way.
A man at 9:23 p.m. made a 911 call of a lost dog at his Kachemak Drive home. Police notified the animal control officer.

A caller at 7:34 a.m. reported hearing strange noises outside a Fairview Avenue home. Police found all was OK.
A caller at 8:08 p.m. reported drivers consistently not stopping for school buses on East End Road.
A caller at 8:27 a.m. reported a driver passing dangerously on East End Road. Police responded but could not find the suspect driver.
A caller at 11:54 a.m. reported a reckless driver on Fairview Avenue.
A caller at 12:15 p.m. reported a person trespassing at a Poopdeck Street address.
A caller at 12:27 p.m. reported a person made suicidal statements.
A caller at 4:22 p.m. reported being harassed.
Police at 9:15 p.m. warned a person for reckless driving on the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:23 p.m. reported suspicious activity at a Poodeck Street address.
A caller at 10:27 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Wright Street address. Police determined the subject was safe and in good care.
A caller at 11:35 p.m. reported a drunk man acted belligerently toward people at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded but couldn’t find the suspect.
Dec. 17
A woman at 12:32 a.m. reported a person possibly under the influence as she walked by the person on Lake Street. Police responded.
A person at 5:32 a.m. made a 911 call reporting a man caused a disturbance at a Sterling Highway address and wouldn’t leave. Police contacted the man and issued him a permanent trespass notice from the property.
A caller at 5:10 p.m. reported an animal bite victim at a Bartlett Street medical facility.
Several callers at 6:41 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on the Sterling Highway. Police responded.
A caller at 7:10 p.m. reported a road-rage incident at a Uminski Circle address. Police responded.
A caller at 5:37 p.m. reported a drunk man at a Ben Walters Lane address. Police responded.
A caller at 7:44 p.m. reported an altercation over driving habits at a Lake Street address. Police responded.
Dec. 18
Police at 1:34 p.m. patrolled Karen Hornaday Park and seized drug paraphernalia from people in the area.
Police at 2:12 p.m. stopped a suspect driver in a REDDI complaint near Mile 171 Sterling Highway. Police arrested a 49-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman on two counts each of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.
A caller at 9:46 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on Soundview Avenue. Police contacted the driver and did not see any signs of impairment.

Jack W. Coplen, 38, charges dismissed, driving while license cancelled, suspended, revoked or limited; violating conditions of release.
Linda J. Feiler, 69, charge dismissed, second-degree harassment.
Andrew R. Cook, 25, charge dismissed, driving while license cancelled, suspended, revoked or limited. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $6,000 with $3,000 suspended and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 70 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for two years.
Clarence S. Hock, 25, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to get a controlled substance abuse assessment and following recommendations regarding treatment; ordered to forfeit items seized; and was placed on probation for one year.
