A caller at 4:55 p.m. reported a trespassed person at a Sterling Highway business. Police responded and arrested a 42-year-old man for criminal trespassing.
A caller at 8:25 p.m. reported an intention to break into a West Hill Road apartment. Police responded.
A caller at 8:45 p.m. reported a vehicle towing a boat on a trailer hit and damaged a fence on Lake Street.
Sept. 3
A caller at 12:21 a.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on East End Road and that the driver left in another vehicle. Police responded.
Police at 2:07 a.m. found an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on West Hill Road.
A caller at 11:12 a.m. reported a vehicle in a ditch that also hit a building on Scenic View Drive. Police responded and issued a summons to a 23-year-old man for driving without a license.
A caller at 2:20 p.m. reported finding a bike and jacket on the Spit trail.
A man at 2:33 p.m. reported losing a backpack.
A caller at 4:12 p.m. reported the theft of a backpack and bicycle on Hazel Avenue. Police responded and issued a summons to a 24-year-old man for third-degree theft.
A caller at 7:10 p.m. reported a drunk person passed out near a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 4:28 p.m. reported a violation of a court order at a Frisbee Court address.

A caller at 8:11 a.m. reported suspicious drug activity at Bishop’s Beach.
A caller at 1:31 p.m. reported a vessel stolen outside of the Homer Police service area.
Police at 4:32 p.m. arrested a 23-year-old man on a warrant at an East Hill Road address.
Sept. 5
A caller at 9:22 a.m. reported being concerned for her safety when a protective order expires. Police responded.
A caller at 1:10 p.m. reported a car crash in a Sterling Highway parking lot. Police responded and issued a summons to a 55-year-old man for driving without a license.
A caller at 1:28 p.m. reported suspicious behavior in the Ben Walters Lane area.
Two callers at 5:07 p.m. reported a drunk man on Pioneer Avenue.
A caller at 5:01 p.m. reported a fight in progress at a West Hill Road home. Police responded and determined the incident was mutual combat.
A caller at 7:29 p.m. reported a man in a wheelchair stopped in the middle of Heath Street. Police responded and helped the man get out of the road.
A caller at 11:24 p.m. reported a person made suicidal threats at the harbor. Police responded and a man was taken to South Peninsula Hospital.

A caller at 12:12 p.m. reported someone broke into and stayed overnight at a rental room on the Spit.

A person at 4:36 p.m. reported a man tried to break into a closed business on East End Road. Police contacted the business owner and found the man had permission to be there.
A caller at 5:46 p.m. reported an ex-spouse threatened to damage property on Freight Dock Road.
A caller at 6:45 p.m. reported being harassed.
A person at 7:07 p.m. made a 911 call of a verbal disturbance at a Skyline Drive home. Police responded and found all was OK.
A person at 8:41 p.m. made a 911 call of a domestic dispute at a Kelly Court home. Police responded and determined the incident did not rise to the level of a crime.
A caller at 9:53 p.m. reported a driver in a vehicle intentionally blew exhaust smoke on bicyclists in the Homer area.
A caller at 9:57 p.m. reported the theft of fuel from a car parked on the Spit.

A caller at 9:41 a.m. asked police about options regarding a motorhome left on Heath Street property.
A caller at 12:07 p.m. reported a possible drug transaction at the bottom of the Greatland Street trail. Police responded and determined the call was unfounded.
A caller at 1:48 p.m. asked police to issue a trespass notice to a person from a Mattox Road home.
A woman at 2 p.m. reported losing a ring in the Lake Street area. Police told the woman the ring had been found.
A woman at 4:27 p.m. reported she locked her keys in her car while her child was still in the car parked on Ocean Drive Loop. Police responded.
Police at 4:46 p.m. contacted people camping on Freight Dock Road and advised them to move along.
A caller at 8:04 p.m. reported the possible theft of a vessel from the harbor.
A caller at 8:34 p.m. reported a large group of people started a fire on the beach on the Spit.
Sept. 9
A caller at 12:35 p.m. asked that a person be issued a trespass notice from a Greatland Street address.
A caller at 2:26 p.m. reported a generator stolen from the Spit.
Alaska State Troopers at 2:38 p.m. asked police and the animal control officer to pick up a dog in a vehicle whose driver had been arrested for DUI.
A caller at 4:15 p.m. asked for a welfare check on a child at a Jenny Way address.
A caller at 6:33 p.m. reported people involved in an argument on Poopdeck Street.
Police at 10:10 p.m. issued a summons to a person for driving in violation of instructional permit.
Troopers at 11:31 p.m. asked for help in locating a vehicle involved in an incident on East End Road.
A caller at 11:35 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a bicyclist on the Spit. Police told the bicyclist to use the bike trail.
A caller at 11:54 p.m. reported four or five juveniles pounding on the door of Pioneer Avenue business.
Troopers
Sept. 1
Alaska State Troopers received a report from a 59-year-old Soldotna man that he killed a sublegal bull moose in the Caribou Hills. Troopers cited the man for harvesting a bull moose that did not meet the legal antler configuration. Troopers seized the meat and donated it to a local charity.

Wildlife Troopers received a report from a 40-year-old Ninilchik man that he killed a sublegal bull moose in the Brody Road area near Ninilchik. Troopers cited the man for harvesting a bull moose that did not meet the legal antler configuration. Troopers seized the meat and donated it to a local charity.
Troopers at 10:07 p.m. contacted the driver of a red Isuzu truck in the parking lot of a Homer grocery store after troopers said the driver, a 36-year-old Homer man, almost hit a light pole in the parking lot. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and later charged him with refusal to submit to a chemical test.. They said the man also had a loaded 10mm handgun and charged him with fourth-degree weapons misconduct.
Sept. 3
Troopers at 8:34 a.m. went to a car crash near Griner Avenue and the Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers said a 59-year-old Seldovia man drove off the road in a 2005 Buick and hit a culvert. The driver and his passenger, an 83-year-old Seldovia man, suffered minor injuries and were taken to South Peninsula Hospital. Both men wore seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Wildlife Troopers received a report from a 61-year-old Anchor Point man that he killed a cow moose. Troopers cited the man for harvesting a cow moose out of season. Troopers seized the meat and donated it to a local charity.
Sept. 8
Troopers at 4:54 p.m. went to a Happy Valley home for a report of a man found dead. Troopers said the cause of death for the 43-year-old Anchor Point man was suicide. No foul play was suspected. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy. Next of kin was notified.
Troopers and Homer Police at 10:25 p.m. went to a Homer business and arrested 19-year-old man with outstanding warrants for DUI, driving in violation of an instructional permit and first-degree criminal trespassing.
Sept. 9
Troopers at 2:35 p.m. contacted a 51-year-old Anchorage man driving a white Ford Bronco parked sideways on the Sterling Highway at Bluff Road. Troopers had received a report earlier that the man drove erratically. Troopers arrested the man for DUI. A license check showed his license is revoked until 2070. The man also had two warrants for arrest, including a parole violation for a previous felony DUI.
Troopers at 7:03 p.m. saw and recognized a 28-year-old Anchor Point woman standing on the side of the North Fork Road in Anchor Point. Troopers knew the woman had a warrant for arrest on a charge of DUI and improper use of registration. Troopers arrested the woman.
Troopers at 11:24 p.m. went to a 911 call from a woman reporting a physical disturbance near Mile 10 East End Road. Troopers said the woman reported being involved in a disturbance with a 32-year-old Homer man while they were parked near Mile 10 East End Road. The woman said the man drove away in a white vehicle. Troopers contacted the woman and escorted her back to her home where her car was parked. A friend drove the woman to a safe place to stay for the night. While on scene troopers received a report of a single-car crash near Mile 13 East End Road involving a white vehicle similar to the one the woman reported drove away in. Troopers and medics responded and found a white Dodge 2500 on its side. Witnesses said the driver had been thrown from the Dodge. Troopers identified the victim as the 32-year-old man involved in the disturbance. Kachemak Emergency Services medics confirmed the man died at 12:41 a.m. Sept. 10. Troopers said alcohol and speed are believed to be major factors in the crash. The man’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy. Next of kin was notified.
Sept. 10
Troopers at 6:34 p.m. went to a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a suspected drunk man driving a Ford Flex north on the Sterling Highway from Anchor Point. Troopers stopped the driver near Mile 132 Sterling Highway and arrested a 25-year-old Homer man for DUI and driving while license revoked.

Gina M. Guerra-Camargo, 36, Houston, Texas, charge dismissed, refusal to submit to a chemical test. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was fined $3,000 with $1,500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Daniel E. Rosendahl, 30, Chugiak, charge dismissed, failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $4,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for two years. He also pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to one day in jail.
Patrick D. Albright, 54, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for two years.
Larry C. Mitchell Jr., 50, pleaded guilty to driving while license cancelled, suspended, revoked or limited. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
