An officer at 9:58 a.m. warned a driver for failing to stop at Pioneer Avenue and Main Street.
A caller at 10:17 a.m. reported a domestic violence situation inside a moving vehicle at Pioneer Avenue and Heath Street. An officer went to the area, but no plate number was given.
A caller at 12:58 p.m. reported a man making threats to a woman inside a business in the Homer area. An officer contacted both parties.
A caller at 2:10 p.m. reported threats that had been made on Soundview Avenue. An officer responded to the area.
A caller at 4:45 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on Rochelle Road. An officer responded to the scene.
An officer at 6:53 p.m. inspected a vehicle in the ditch at West Hill Road and Hillside Place, and found the vehicle was unoccupied and not damaged. The officer attempted to contact the registered owner.
A caller at 8:45 p.m. reported the location of a wanted person on the Homer Bypass. Officer responded to the location and arrested a 29-year-old man. Officers later discovered illegal drugs on the man during a search, and he was charged possessing, selling or manufactoring meth.
A caller at 11:34 p.m. reported a possibly intoxicated man leaving a location on Kramer Lane in a vehicle. An officer contacted the person.
A caller at 11:43 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked in a lot on Main Street. An officer responded to the area.

A caller at 5:47 a.m. reported a moose on the side of the road at Mile 168 Sterling Highway that had possibly been hit by a vehicle. Officers went to the scene and notified the appropriate moose meat charity.
A caller at 7:40 a.m. reported information about a missing person on Greatland Street. An officer contacted the missing person and took them to a medical facility.
A caller at 8:20 a.m. reported trespassing in a city bathroom at West Pioneer Avenue and Bartlett Street. An officer responded to the scene but was unable to locate anyone.
A caller at 8:59 a.m. reported a vehicle illegally parked on city property on FAA Road. An officer contacted the vehicle’s owner, who agreed to move the vehicle.
A caller at 12:18 p.m. reported a theft from a home on Reber Road. Officers arrested a 26-year-old person for vehicle theft and burglary.
Alaska State Troopers at 6:05 p.m. requested help wth a motor vehicle crash at East End Road and Spencer Drive. An officer responded to the scene.
A caller at 7:42 p.m. reported a vehicle crash at East End Road and Spencer Drive with two vehicles and two drivers, with no injuries. An officer went to the location.
A man at 8:20 p.m. went to the police station in reference to a warrant, and was arrested on the warrant.
An officer at 8:42 p.m. contacted a woman on the Homer Bypass who said she needed to go to the hospital. The officer provided a ride to South Peninsula Hospital.
A caller at 11:05 p.m. reported a vehicle in a driveway on Ocean Drive Loop, saying it was a possible prowler. Officers went to the scene, contacted the driver, and found he was in the area looking for a different house.
March 10
A caller at 4:40 a.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately report on an intoxicated man driving away from a business on Shelford Avenue. Officers went to the area but were unable to locate the man.
A caller at 3:30 p.m. reported two men having an altercation on Snowbird Street. Officers responded to the scene and the men were separated.
A caller at 3:35 p.m. reported a person missing from Kachemak Drive. An officer contacted the missing woman and took her to a medical facility.
A caller at 8:08 p.m. reported a man “passed out” inside a business on the Homer Bypass. An officer went to the scene and issued the man a trespass notice.
A caller at 9:23 p.m. reported an assault as part of an ongoing situation on Bartlett Street. An officer responded to the scene and arrested a 29-year-old woman for assault.
A caller at 9:25 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle that looked abandoned on the side of the road at East End Road and McLay Road. An officer went to the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.
A caller at 9:35 p.m. reported a man screaming threats and vulgarities in the area of the caller’s home at Clover Lane and Alder Lane. An officer went to the area and was unable to find anyone.

A caller at 1:14 a.m. reported a man lurking in the parking lot of an agency on Lake Street. An officer went to the location to attempt to contact the man.
A caller at 6:20 a.m. reported an overdue bus in the Homer area. An officer was advised, contacted the team that was on the bus, and confirmed all was OK.
A caller at 5:51 p.m. reported a single vehicle rollover with no injuries on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 11:06 p.m. reported loud music coming from Bishop’s Beach. An officer went to the area and saw a vehicle leaving the area.
A caller at 11:33 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene and found all was OK.
March 12
A caller at 1:30 p.m. reported inappropriate conduct and a trespass issue on East End road. An officer went to the scene and issued a person a notice for trespassing in a public building.
A business at 3:42 p.m. reported an upset woman at a business on Spit Road and reported a possible safety concern for the woman. An officer responded to the scene and found that no crime had been committed.
A caller at 8:05 p.m. reported someone possibly camping in public restrooms at Pioneer Avenue and Heath Street. An officer responded to the location but found no one. The officer secured the restrooms.
An officer at 9:35 p.m. contacted a driver at Spit Road and Freight Dock Road and confiscated marijuana.
An officer at 10:21 p.m. made a security check on the Sterling Highway and found signs of forced entry.
March 13
A caller at 1:47 a.m. reported a domestic disturbance on the Sterling Highway. Officers and medics responded to the location and transported a woman to South Peninsula Hospital for extreme intoxication. They found no crime had been committed.
Someone at the Harbor Office at 6:36 a.m. reported over radio a motor vehicle crash with damage at Mile 3 Spit Road. An officer responded to the location.
An officer at 7:50 a.m. assisted a motorist at Bartlett Street and Pioneer Avenue.
A caller at 8:23 a.m. requested officer assistance with a vehicle parked in the right of way at Pioneer Avenue and Woodside Avenue. An officer was advised and provided the registered owner with their options.
A caller at 9 a.m. reported an abandoned vehicle at Bishop’s Beach. An officer spoke with the registered owner, who agreed to have the vehicle removed.
A caller at 9:12 a.m. reported a vehicle crash at East End Road and Kachemak Drive. Officers and medics went to the scene.
A caller at 11:42 a.m. requested that a woman be issued a trespass notice to keep her from a business on West Bunnell Street. An officer responded to the location but was unable to locate the woman.
A caller at 3:15 p.m. reported a suspecious man soliciting on property on Hazel Avenue. Officers went to the location and issued the man a trespass notice.

An officer at 12:23 a.m. contacted a vehicle in the ditch on Mountainview Drive. The officer found the vehicle was unoccupied with no signs of damage. The officer tried to contact its owner but was unable to reach them.
An officer at 12:38 p.m. warned a driver for speeding on East End Road.
A caller at 2:59 p.m. reported a man who had previosuly been trespassed at a business on Greatland Street. An officer responded and advised the man of the trespass notice.
A caller at 3:09 p.m. reported a vehicle crash in a business parking lot on Smokey Bay Way. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 8:03 p.m. reported a man was being intimidated by multiple people in his home on Main Street. An officer responded and spoke with a woman, who said all was OK.
An officer at 8:41 p.m. contacted a driver at Crittenden Drive and the Sterling Highway and warned the driver for not having the proper motor vehicle insurance.
A caller at 9:15 p.m. requested a welfare check on an intoxicated man sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot on Spit Road. An officer went to the location.
March 15
A caller at 11 a.m. reported a theft from a vehicle on Lee Street. An officer responded to the location.
Officers at 6:09 p.m. were made aware that a suicidal and intoxicated woman at South Peninsula Hospital left the facility in a vehicle. Officers later found her at home.
An officer at 6:29 p.m. served a search warrant at a business on East End Road.
A caller at 8:42 p.m. reported being assaulted by a woman in the parking lot of a business on East End Road. An officer went to the scene and contacted the caller.
March 16
A caller at 7:26 a.m. reported a dog hit by a car and injured in the road at Kachemak Drive and Knapp Circle. An officer responded to the area.
A caller at 7:49 a.m. reported an abandoned vehicle on Lake Street. An officer contacted its owner.
A caller at 11:17 a.m. reported a noise complaint on Ben Walters Lane. An officer responded to the location.
A business at 4:06 p.m. reported a shoplifter at a business on Lake Street. An officer went to the scene and gave trespass notices to two minors.
A caller at 6:05 p.m. reported a dead lynx in the roadway on East Skyline Road. The caller had moved the animal from the roadway. The proper agency was notified.
A caller at 6:54 p.m. requested a welfare check on a suspicious woman at a business on the Homer Bypass. An officer responded to the scene and found all was OK.
March 17
An officer at 10:09 p.m. warned a driver for having expired registration at Main Street and Pioneer Avenue.
A caller at 10:21 p.m. reported possible domestic violence on West Fairview Avenue. An officer went to the location but was unable to locate the man the call was about.
An officer at 10:46 p.m. warned a driver for speeding at Mile 1 East End Road.
A caller at 11:24 p.m. reported a man passed out in the lobby of the post office on Heath Street. An officer went to the scene and told the man to move along.
March 18
An agency at 9:43 a.m. reported to the police that vehicles were parked in the roadway on Mattox Road. An officer went to the scene and issued warnings.
A caller at 11:50 a.m. reported two dogs barking on Bay Avenue. An officer went to the scene and forwarded a report to the Animal Control Office.
A caller at 2:05 p.m. reported a neighboring house being broken into on Ohlson Lane. An officer went to the scene and contacted the registered owner.
Troopers
Feb. 14
Kodiak Alaska Wildlife Troopers were on patrol onboard the P/V Stimson in Kachemak Bay. At approximately 11:11 a.m., they pulled a sport shellfish pot belonging to a 65-year-old Homer man. Inspection of the pot revealed only one escape ring on the pot instead of the two required. Additionally, the one ring present was partially obstructed by netting, making the unobstructed radius of the ring significantly less than required by regulation. Troopers contacted the man at approximately 10 a.m. Feb. 17 and issued him a citation for unlawful shellfish gear; bail was set at $100.
March 14
Alaska State Troopers at 2:56 p.m. responded to the Anchor River Inn for a report of a male who had climbed through an open window into a motel room and refused to come out. An investigation showed a 49-year-old Anchorage man had unlawfully entered the room. He was arrested for trespassing and remanded into the Homer Jail.
Alaska State Troopers at 1:11 p.m. responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries near mile 161 of the Sterling Highway. An investigation showed a 57-year-old Ninilchik man had turned in front of a vehicle being driven by a 54-year-old Anchor Point man. The first man and his passenger were transported to the Homer Hospital by EMS for injuries sustained in the crash. He was cited for driving with his license revoked, failure to provide proof of insurance, and failing to yield when turning.
March 15
Alaska State Troopers at approximately 4:53 p.m. contacted a 32-year-old Nikolaevsk man at his residence in Nikolaevsk. Investigation revealed the man had two outstanding arrest warrants. He was arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial.
Alaska State Troopers at about 7 p.m. arrested a 39-year-old Ninilchik man at a residence in Ninilchik. He was arrested after a lengthy investigation into the burglary of a local business in Anchor Point which occurred on Feb. 19. Shortly after the burglary the man became a suspect and evidence was gathered leading to his arrest. He was transported and remanded into the Homer Jail.
March 16
Alaska State Troopers at approximately 6:41 p.m. were at a residence off Fish Hook Road in Ninilchik attempting a warrant arrest. While at the location a third party arrived and flagged the trooper down and notified him that his conex storage container on the same property had been burglarized. Troopers contacted a 38-year-old Ninilchik man and a 37-year-old Ninilchik man. Both parties were in possession of stolen items from the conex. During a search of the residence troopers contacted a 26-year-old Ninilchik man. This third man was arrested for an outstanding warrant. The first two men were issued summons to appear in court for theft and burglary and criminal trespass. The 26-year-old was transported to Homer Jail.
March 19
Alaska State Troopers at about 2:15 p.m. arrested a 27-year-old Ninilchik man on an outstanding bench warrant. The man was contacted at his residence for service of the warrant which was for failing to appear on an original charge of criminal trespass in the second degree. He was transported and remanded into the Homer Jail with bail set at $100.

Denette J. Romano, 52, charge dismissed, refusing to submit to a chemical test. Romano pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was sentenced to five days in jail or on monitoring with five days suspended; fined $500 with $250 suspended; ordered to pay $15.99 in restitution to Ulmer’s Drug and Hardware, a $50 Police Training Surcharge and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and placed on probation for six months.
Kalle C. Nilsson, 21, pleaded guilty to furnishing alcohol to a person under 21. Nilsson was fined $300 with nothing suspended and ordered to pay a $50 Police Training Surcharge.
Travis K. Catron, 24, pleaded guilty to improper use of registration, title or plates. He was fined $200 with nothing suspended and ordered to pay a $50 Police Training Surcharge.
Matthew J. Bailey, 35, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree theft. He was fined $150 with nothing suspended, and ordered to pay a $50 Police Training Surcharge and $39.99 in restitution to Ulmer’s Drug and Hardware.
