A person at 1:50 p.m. made a 911 call of two men arguing at a Hazel Avenue address. Police responded but did not find anyone arguing.
A person at 3:35 p.m. came by the station to report incidents of fraud.
A caller at 3:40 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Fairview Avenue address.
A man at 5:13 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on his wife. He said she left upset. Police responded and found the woman returned OK.
A caller at 7:11 p.m. reported a person in a pickup truck drove recklessly on Bishop’s Beach. Police responded but could not find the driver.
A caller at 8:11 p.m. reported a possible stalking situation on the Spit. Police contacted a man and issued him a 1-year trespass notice from a business.
Aug. 30
A caller at 1:04 a.m. reported a suspicious man outside an East End Road business. Police responded and did a security check. All was secure.
A person at 1:29 a.m. asked for a ride and assistance leaving a Klondike Avenue address. Police responded and gave two people a ride to a hotel that night.
A caller at 11:49 a.m. reported two men panhandling, disrupting traffic and harassing customers at a Sterling Highway business. Police told the men to move along.
A caller at 2:22 p.m. reported finding a bicycle on Ocean Drive.
A person at 3:01 p.m. turned in keys found on the trail from Crittenden Drive to Bishop’s Beach.
A caller at 4:45 p.m. reported someone tried to break into his boat at the harbor.
A caller at 6:14 p.m. reported someone threw a bag of trash out of a moving vehicle on Lake Street.
A person at 4:39 p.m. made a 911 call of a man and woman yelling at each other at Bishop’s Beach. Police responded but could not find anyone arguing.
A person at 9:13 p.m. reported a bicycle stolen from a Main Street address.
Police at 8:58 p.m. contacted a 29-year-old woman driving on Ben Walters Lane and issued her a summons for not having insurance.

A caller at 8:20 a.m. reported a driver speeding and passing on a double-yellow zone near Mile 4 East End Road.
Police at 8:24 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone on the Sterling Highway.
A man at 10:20 a.m. reported a person trespassing on his beach property and taking rocks near Crittenden Drive and Hidden Way. Police responded.
A person at 1:07 p.m. made a 911 call that a driver hit a dog in a Hazel Avenue parking lot. Police contacted the animal control officer.
A caller at 1:04 p.m. reported a possible abandoned vehicle on South Slope Drive.
A caller at 2:23 p.m. reported a hit-and-run car crash on the Sterling Highway. Police responded.
A person at 3:43 p.m. turned in a found coat.
A person at 7:22 p.m. made a 911 call of a man and woman in a physical altercation at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded.
A caller at 10:42 p.m. reported a suspicious object found on property at Mattox Road. A suspect left on foot. Police contacted a man and gave him a ride home.
Sept. 1
A caller at 6:04 a.m. reported a drunk woman in the road on Bartlett Street causing a disturbance. Police responded and provided the woman a ride home.
A person involved in a dispute at 11:55 a.m. hailed on officer on Lake Street.
A caller at 9:09 p.m. reported a drunk woman near the Sterling Highway. Police and medics responded and the woman was taken to South Peninsula Hospital.
A caller at 9:53 p.m. reported a person camping on private property on Mattox Road. Police responded but could not find the camper. Police stored property for the owner to pick up.
A caller at 10:14 p.m. reported a lost dog on the Spit.
Police at 10:56 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 26-year-old man driving on Kachemak Drive and arrested him for driving under the influence.
Sept. 1
A caller at 1:06 a.m. reported yelling and arguing in the Heath Street area.
Troopers
Aug. 27
Alaska State Troopers at 9:12 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 39-year-old Sterling man driving a 1992 Ford Explorer with a stolen license plate on the Sterling Highway near the Old Sterling Highway. Troopers said the man provided a false name and denied knowing the plate had been stolen. Troopers identified the man’s real name and arrested him for providing false information and improper use of registration. Troopers also cited him for driving while license revoked.
Aug. 28
Alaska Wildlife Troopers received a report of an abandoned set net found off a Neptune Bay beach with a dead river otter and 79 dead fish that weren’t able to be salvaged. Troopers said they believe the net was placed sometime between Aug. 18 and 27. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Alaska Wildlife Troopers at the Anchor Point post at 235-3010.
Aug. 30
Troopers at 9 a.m. went to a Gilbert Street home in Ninilchk for a report of a disturbance. Troopers said a 29-year-old Ninilchik man assaulted family members and caused about $500 in damage to the home. The man left the scene before troopers arrived but was found a short time later. The man fled when troopers attempted to stop him but was caught after a short chase. Troopers arrested him for fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree eluding a peace officer.
Aug. 31
Troopers at 2:13 a.m. contacted a 19-year-old Anchorage man in a disabled Ford sedan near Mile 171 Sterling Highway. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence, drugs, and driving in violation of instructional permit.
Troopers at 4:45 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 17-year-old driver in a white Chevrolet truck near Mile 10 East End Road. Troopers cited the driver for driving in violation of an instructional permit. There were four other juveniles in the truck, but no licensed drivers. Troopers released the driver and passengers to a family member who arrived on scene.

Judgments
Jason M. Christman, 39, charges dismissed, fourth-degree assault, fifth-degree criminal mischief.
Jacob T. Watson, 50, charge dismissed, driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked. He pleaded guilty to violating conditions of release. He was fined $150 and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund.
David C. Hedgers, 51, Seldovia, charge dismissed, driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked. He pleaded guilty to another charge of driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with 10 days suspended and ordered to perform 80 hours of community work service; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $100 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and was placed on probation for one year.
Mustaf A. Abdile, 29, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to time served in jail; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $50 jail surcharge.
Breanna D. Longo, 23, Anchorage, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $330 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
