Feb. 28
Firefithers at 6:51 p.m. went to a report of flames coming from a chimney at an East Hill Road home. Firefighters found occupants inside with the fireplace going, but no fire in the top of the chimney stack or roof.
March 3
Firefighters at 9:01 a.m. went to the report of a sprinkler alarm activation at Flex School on Ben Walter’s Lane. Firefighters couldn’t find a reason why the alarm went off and reset the alarm.

Feb. 24
A caller at 8:31 a.m. reported stolen property from a Sterling Highway address. At 9:45 a.m. Feb. 28 troopers served a search warrant at a Pioneer Avenue address that was related to the report of theft.
A caller at 2:32 p.m. asked for police assistance with a shoplifter in custody at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and arrested a 20-year-old man for fourth-degree theft and for a probation violation.
A person at 6:30 p.m. made a 911 call of a vehicle rollover near Mile 169 Sterling Highway with no injuries. Police responded.

A caller at 9:35 a.m. reported possible fraud.
A caller at 11:02 a.m. reported an assault at a Hazel Avenue address. Police responded and issued a sumons for fourth-degree assault to a 58-year-old man. Police arrested a 49-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.
A caller at 11:52 a.m. reported people littering on the Spit beach. Police responded.
A caller at 4:32 p.m. reported a person trespassing at a Slavin Drive address. Police responded and determined it was a civil issue.

A caller at 2:56 a.m. reported a domestic dispute at a Landings Street address. Police responded and the people involved said it was a verbal dispute only.
A caller at 9:39 a.m. reported theft of items from an unlocked vehicle at a Pioneer Avenue address.
A caller at 10:42 a.m. reported a vehicle had not been returned after a friend borrowed it.
A caller at 11:55 a.m. reported a party with trash left behind at city property at the Bridge Creek Reservoir.
A person at 10:18 p.m. made a 911 call of a verbal disturbance in the middle of Main Street. Police responded and issued a disorderly conduct warning.

A caller at 8:41 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person in a vehicle at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and found all was OK.
A caller at 2:22 p.m. reported vandalism of city property on Pioneer Avenue near Bartlett Street.
An officer at 6:10 p.m. tried to deliver an emergency message twice to a person at a West Pioneer Avenue address.
A caller at 9:48 p.m. reported an assault at a Danview Avenue address. Police responded.

A caller at 10:03 a.m. reported receiving a caller tried to solicit money for a grandchild supposedly in jail in another country.

Police at 12:59 a.m. assisted medics at an Ocean Drive Loop address.
A caller at 1:08 p.m. reported a driver in a truck towing a boat on a trailer that held up traffic and hit power lines on Kachemak Drive.
A woman at 6:30 p.m. turned in a cell phone found on Bayview Avenue. Police contacted the owner and returned the phone.

A caller at 8:30 a.m. reported a person in need at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded.
A caller at 11:01 a.m. reported a vehicle left for several days at a Sterling Highway parking lot.
A caller at 11:35 a.m. reported a person on the side of East Hill Road with injuries. Police and medics responded.
A person at 1:09 p.m. made a 911 call with a hang-up from a Heath Street address. Police responded.
A person at 1:23 p.m. reported an assault and vehicle theft at an E Street address. Police responded.
A person at 3:14 p.m. reported a man and woman in a vehicle acting suspiciously at a Heath Street address. Police responded but the people were gone on arrival.

A caller at 9:55 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Kachemak Drive address. Police responded and found all was OK.
A caller at 11:39 a.m. reported suspicious activity at a Forest Glen Drive address.
A caller at 12:18 p.m. reported an internet scam.
A caller at 12:39 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Pennock Street address. Police contacted the person and found all was OK.
A caller at 1:02 p.m. reported a vehicle crash with injuries on the Sterling Highway near Main Street. Police and medics responded.
A caller at 6:57 p.m. reported a man refused to leave Main Street property. Police provided the caller with options on issuing a trespass notice.
A person at 7:48 p.m. made a 911 call of an unknown person trying to break into a Main Street home. Police responded.
March 4
A caller at 10:20 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Claudia Street address. Police and medics responded.
A caller at 10:23 a.m. reported hearing gunshots in the Bartlett Street area.
A person at 2 p.m. asked police to issue a trespass notice to a person from a Rainbow Court area.
A caller at 3:04 p.m. reported a snomachine driver causing a traffic hazard on Early Spring Street.
A woman at 3:25 p.m. asked police for assistance in locating a missing person. The person later returned home.
A person at 7:44 p.m. reported a vehicle theft from an Ocean Drive address.
A caller at 7:51 p.m. reported a drunk woman refused to leave a friend’s Main Street apartment. Police responded and took the woman to South Peninsula Hospital for medical clearance and then to the jail.
A person at 8:37 p.m. made a 911 call that four juveniles were on his Ocean Drive Loop property who left when asked. Police responded.
Alaska State Troopers at 9:16 p.m. asked for police assistance with a DUI on Bear Creek Drive. Police responded.
A caller at 8:52 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man at a Sterling Highway parking lot. Police responded and provided the man transportation home.
March 5
A caller at 3:27 p.m. reported his Kachemak Drive business was broken into during the night.
A caller at 6:46 p.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on Pioneer Avenue. Police contacted the suspect driver and arrested a 51-year-old man for DUI.
A caller at 8:29 p.m. reported a person passed out at a Sterling Highway business. Police told the person to move along. A friend offered the person a ride home.
March 6
A man at 4:30 a.m. reported a suspicious driver and vehicle on Pioneer Avenue. Police contacted the driver for driving while license suspended and impounded the vehicle.
Troopers
Feb. 27
Alaska State Troopers went to a single-vehicle rollover near Mile 162 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a 56-year-old Anchor Point woman driving north lost control of her vehicle on black ice and rolled into the southbound ditch. She and her passenger both wore seat belts. Anchor Point Emergency Medical Services responded and found no injuries.
March 1
Troopers at about 4 p.m. arrested a 54-year-old Anchor Point man on an outstanding warrant. Troopers contacted the man while investigating an abandoned vehicle near Mile 154 Sterling Highway.
March 2
Troopers at 1:30 p.m. charged a 37-year-old Anchor Point woman for second-degree harassment after investigating several phone calls she made on March 1. Troopers issued her a summons and released her.
March 4
Troopers at 9:59 a.m. went to a domestic disturbance at an Anchor Point home. Troopers said a 41-year-old Anchor Point man assaulted a family member. Troopers arrested the man.
