A person at 8 p.m. made a 911 call of a vehicle in the ditch on Forest Glen Drive. Police responded.
A caller at 9:20 p.m. reported a wanted subject in the area.
A caller at 9:28 p.m. reported a lost phone.
Feb. 18
A caller at 9:56 a.m. reported a hit-and-run crash on Bunnell Avenue.
A caller at 11:07 a.m. asked to speak with an officer regarding a civil issue.
A caller at 4:51 p.m. reported shoplifters at a Sterling Highway store. Customers also reported vehicles broken into. Police responded.
A caller at 11:45 p.m. reported smelling natural gas in the Svedlund Street area. Police notified Enstar Natural Gas.
Feb. 19
A person at 2:26 p.m. made a 911 call of suspicious people at a Mattox Road address. Police responded and found nothing suspicious.
A perosn at 6:11 p.m. made a 911 call asking to speak to an officer The caller was disconnected as dispatchers gathered information. Police responded to the caller’s Bartlett Street address.
Feb. 20
A person at 12:24 p.m. made a 911 of a three-vehicle crash with no injuries on East End Road near East Hill Road.
A caller at 5:10 p.m. reported a school bus had broken down and been moved off the Sterling Highway. The caller said it would be recovered in the morning.
A caller at 7:04 p.m. reported hitting a moose on Bartlett Street near Soundview Avenue. The moose could not move. Police responded and killed the moose. Police contacted a charity to salvage the moose.
A woman at 8:55 p.m. reported being harassed over the phone. Police advised the woman of her options.
A caller at 10:19 p.m. reported a vehicle was stolen from the Bishop’s Beach area. Police responded.
Feb. 21
A caller at 11:55 a.m. went to the police station for proof of identity.
A caller at 3:29 p.m. reported online enticement.
A person at 5:27 p.m. made a 911 call with a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on the Sterling Highway. Police could not find the suspect driver.
Feb. 22
A caller at 12:01 a.m. reported a suspicous vehicle in a Sterling Highway parking lot. Police contacted the driver and warned the person not to park in the lot overnight.
A caller at 12:19 p.m. reported a collission between a front-end loader and a pickup truck on Kachemak Drive.
A caller at 1:47 p.m. reported a possible sighting of a wanted person.
A person at 2:21 p.m. made a 911 call of a large hole near the end of the Spit. Police notified Public Works.
A caller at 9:23 a.m. reported check fraud.
A caller at 8:15 p.m. asked to speak to police about a civil problem.
Troopers
Feb. 18
Alaska State Troopers at 8:31 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 31-year-old Homer woman on East End Road. Troopers arrested her for driving under the influence and failure to submit to a chemical test.
Feb. 19
Troopers at 9:49 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 25-year-old Homer man on the Sterling Highway near Anchor Point. Troopers arrested the man for driving while license revoked.

Judgments
Tanner O. Connelly, 25, charges dismissed, fourth-degree theft, two counts.
Kenneth Ogle, 42, charge dismissed, driving while license cancelled, suspended, revoked or limited.
Kelly Earl Pate, 53, charge dismissed, driving under the influence. He pleaded guilty to refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of electronic monitoring; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Andres A. Jauregui, 39, charges dismissed, fourth-degree assault, fifth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful contact. He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. He was fined $1,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 120 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to attend and complete a batterer’s intervention program; ordered not to have contact with his victims without court permission; and was placed on probation for three years.
Chad Kuryla, 47, Anchor Point, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to submit a DNA sample; and was placed on probation for two years.
