A caller at 12:31 a.m. reported a disturbance on Ben Walters Lane. Officers responded to the location and arrested a 26-year-old man for assault.
An officer at 8:54 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Crittenden Drive and the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 11:50 a.m. was out on a call about a broken down vehicle at mile 0.5 East Hill Road and cited a driver for no valid operators license.
An officer at 3:45 p.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Pioneer Avenue and Main Street.
A caller at 3:53 p.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch overnight at Early Spring Road and Mark White Avenue. An officer responded to the scene.
An officer at 7:37 p.m. warned a driver for speeding at Soundview Avenue and the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:30 p.m. reported hearing noise outside their home on Hillfair Court. An officer responded to the location and found nothing suspicious.

A caller at 1:42 p.m. reported a shoplifter in custody from a previous occurrence at a business on Lake Street. An officer went to the business and arrested a 35-year-old man for fourth-degree theft.
A caller at 2:39 p.m. reported a man driving without a license on Lake Street. An officer went to the area but was unable to locate the driver.
A caller at 11:09 p.m. reported excess truck and traffic noise in their neighborhood on Main Street. Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate anyone.

An officer at 1:13 p.m. assisted a driver with a disabled vehicle in the roadway at Lake Street and Pioneer Avenue.
A caller at 3:10 p.m. reported a woman trespassing on property at W. Bunnell Avenue. The caller said they would like the woman formally issued a trespass notice. An officer responded to the scene.
An officer at 11:46 p.m. contacted a driver at Slavin Court and East End Road about misuse of plates. A summons issued was issued for the 37-year-old man.

An officer at 12:37 a.m. contacted a driver on Lake Street with a suspended license and gave the driver a citation.
An officer at 1:20 p.m. warned a driver for making a u-turn on the Homer Bypass.
A caller at 5:06 p.m. made a Report Ever Dangerous Driver Immediately report on a vehicle at Mile 168 Sterling Highway. An officer responded to the area.
A caller at 9:46 p.m. reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at Main Street and the Homer Bypass. An officer responded to the scene.

A caller at 4:35 a.m. reported an alarm in the area of their home on Bartlett Street. An officer responded to the location.
A caller at 6:20 p.m. reported an assault on Ben Walters Lane. An officer was advised and a summons was issued for a 59-year-old man for fourth-degree assault.
A caller at 9:35 p.m. reported an intoxicated minor and a person giving liquor to minors on Betlett Street. Officers responded to the location and issued a summons for a 21-year-old man.

A caller at 3:23 a.m. reported a suicidal man on Kramer Lane. Officers responded to the location.
A caller at 5:41 a.m. reported a woman overdosing on Main Street, but was unable to call back. An officer was notified and attempted to make a welfare check.
A caller at 8:26 a.m. reported an active burglary alarm on Landings Street. An officer responded to the location and contacted employees arriving at work. All was OK.
A caller at 8:51 a.m. called 911, and dispatchers heard an open line and a hang up. An officer went to the scene of the call on the Sterling Highway and assisted the Homer Volunteer Fire Department.
A caller at 12:28 p.m. requested a welfare check on a possibly suicidal man on Kramer Lane. Officers responded to the location.
A man at 2:20 p.m. went to the Police Station to report a person living in a public restroom at Bartlett Street and Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the location but the person was gone when the officer arrived.
An officer at 5:52 p.m. gave an intoxicated man on Kramer Lane a disorderly conduct warning.
Officers at 10 p.m. contacted a man regarding previous welfare checks on Kramer Lane. The man was taken into protective custody and taken to South Peninsula Hospital for a menal evaluation.
A caller at 10:49 p.m. reported that a family member was intoxicated and violent on Latham Avenue. Officers responded to the location and found that no crime had occurred. An officer provided a man with a ride to South Peninsula Hospital.
Troopers
Jan, 14
Alaska State Troopers at 2:49 p.m. responded to a motor vehicle crash near mile 8 of East End Road. An investigation showed a vehicle being driven by a 67-year-old Nevada man lost control due to the icy roads and went into the ditch where it struck an embankment. The man and his passenger received non life threatening injuries and were transported to the local hospital for treatment.
Jan. 28
Alaska State Troopers at 3:14 p.m. responded to a single vehicle rollover near mile 14 East End Road. Investigation revealed a 21-year-old Voznesenka man was driving his Ford sedan northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle rolled over before coming to a rest. The man was arrested for driving under the influence and remanded to the Homer Jail where he was later released without bail. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The man reported wearing his seatbelt and only sustained minor injuries.
Anchor Point Troopers at about 12:15 p.m. received a report from the VPSO in Nanwalek reporting a 41 year old female had gone to the clinic and reported being sexually assaulted earlier in the morning by a Nanwalek man. An investigation showed the man had assaulted the female in the early morning hours while she slept. He was arrested and remanded into the Homer Jail.

Judgments
Harry G. M. Macauly II, 22, charges dismissed, driving under the influence and misconduct involving weapons. Macauly pleaded guilty to refusing to submit to a chemical test. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail or on monitoring with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; was placed on probation for one year; and was ordered to forfeit any weapon siezed.
Gabriel P. Kewan, 26, charges dismissed, disorderly conduct and fifth-degree criminal mischief. Kewan pleaded guilty to first-degree harassment. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with nothing suspended to be served immediately with credit for time served. He was ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training fund and a $50 jail surcharge.
Charles H. Rivers, 69, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail or on monitoring with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Stephen J. Mack, 76, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree theft. He was fined $150 with nothing suspended; ordered to par restitution in an amount to be determined and $50 to support the Police Training Fund.
