Firefighters and emergency medical technicians went to one medical call for a stand by during a ski meet and one fire call with a follow up.
Homer Police
Jan. 30
A caller at 12:18 p.m. reported a woman hiding under the caller’s bed on Bonanza Avenue. An officer responded to the scene.
An officer at 3:54 p.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at Mile 170 Sterling Highway.
A caller at 8:54 p.m. on Bartlett Street requested that a woman be taken to the Homer Police Department for protective custody. An officer went to the scene and took the woman to the Homer Jail for protective custody.
An alarm company at 10:35 p.m. reported a commercial burglary alarm on Ocean Drive. An officer responded to the location and found an employee on the scene. It was a false alarm.
Jan. 31
Officers at 5 a.m. assisted South Peninsula Hospital on Tern Court.
A caller at 10:32 a.m. reported suspicious activity in the area of Kachemak Drive. An officer responded to the scene.
An agency at 5:38 p.m. requested assistance with a traffic stop on the Sterling Highway. An officer responded to the scene.
A caller at 6:03 p.m. reported a disturbance on Bartlett Street and asked for officer response. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 9:02 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle that had just pulled into the Safeway parking lot. An officer contacted the driver but didn’t detect any impairment.
Feb. 1
An officer at 3:24 a.m. looked into a possibly abandoned vehicle at Karen Hornaday Park during a security check.
An automated fire alarm at 6:19 a.m. went off at South Peninsula Hospital. The Homer Volunteer Fire Department was paged and an officer responded to the location. They found it was a false alarm and the fire response was cancelled.
A caller at 12:03 p.m. reported a man that would not leave her alone on Lake Street. An officer resolved the issue.
An officer at 2:43 p.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at East End Road and Rhonda Street.
An officer at 2:50 p.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone at East Hill Road and East End Road.
A caller at 6:35 p.m. reported someone in a vehicle playing loud music on Ben Walters Lane. An officer responded to the scene and advised the person to keep the music down.
Feb. 2
Multiple callers around 9:54 a.m. reported a vehicle on fire at East End Road and Spencer Drive. An officer responded to the scene along with the Homer Volunteer Fire Department.
A caller at 10:16 a.m. requested a welfare check on a customer at an East Pioneer Avenue business. An officer responded to the scene.
A caller at 10:45 a.m. reported a drug deal taking place in a parking lot on Ben Walters Lane involving a limousine and another vehicle. Officers went to the area.
A caller at 1:50 p.m. reported a possible bullet through his windshield while driving at Mile 169 Sterling Highway. An officer responded to the location and suspected that a rock was the cause of the damage.
A caller at 2:05 p.m. made a REDDI report on a vehicle driver holding a toddler on the driver’s lap at Mile 2 Spit Road. An officer responded to the area.
A caller at 3:42 p.m. reported a vehicle parked on a trail at East Danview Avenue and Calhoun Street and a confused woman in the area. Officers responded to the scene.
Troopers
Jan. 31
Alaska State Troopers at approximately 5:34 p.m. conducted a traffic stop near the Bidarka Inn in Homer. Troopers contacted a 34-year-old Homer man. Investigation revealed the man was in possession of controlled substances and also had packaging material as well as scales. He was arrested and transported to Homer Jail. His vehicle was seized and a search warrant was executed on the vehicle.
Feb. 1
Alaska State Troopers at approximately 10:37 p.m. conducted a traffic stop on East End Road. Troopers contacted a 26-year-old Homer woman. Investigation revealed she was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. The woman was arrested and Transported to Homer Jail for a breath sample, after which she was remanded to Homer Jail.
Feb. 2
Alaska State Troopers at approximately 10:47 p.m. on Jan. 19 received a report of a vehicle crash near mile 13 North Fork Road. Troopers responded to the location however a driver was not located. Investigation revealed the driver was a 33 year-old Anchor Point man. The man had an outstanding warrant at the time of the crash. The vehicle that had been involved in the collision was reported stolen out of Anchorage on Jan. 1. On Feb. 2, AST received a tip that the man was in a truck parked at the Anchor Point Petro. He was contacted sleeping in his truck. Investigation revealed he was in possession of a controlled substance. The man was arrested for his warrant, possession of a controlled substance and was also remanded on vehicle theft 2 and failure to give immediate notice of an accident. He was transported to and remanded at Homer Jail.

Judgments
Thomas Barclay, 48, charges dismissed, felony driving under the influence, driving with a canceled, suspended, revoked or limited license, failing to stop at the direction of an officer, reckless driving and third-degree misconduct involving weapons. In a separate case, charges dismissed were two counts of violating conditions of release for a felony.
Cherilynn Sexton, 45, charge dismissed, fifth-degree criminal mischief.
Sara M. Roderick, 43, charge dismissed, driving with a license that was canceled, revoked or suspended for a DUI.
James A. Spencer, 49, charge dismissed, third-degree theft.
Bruce E. Manuilow, 70, charge dismissed, fourth-degree assault.
Michael J. Landowski, 51, charge dismissed, fourth-degree assault.
Shawna A. Ashlock, 28, charges dismissed, two counts of fourth-degree assault.
Julie A. Cox, 45, charges dismissed, two counts of fourth-degree assault.
Logan B. Jensen, 36, charge dismissed, no motor vehicle liability insurance. Jensen pleaded guilty to driving without a valid operator license. He was fined $150 with nothing suspended and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund.
Jasiah K. Carlson, 24, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail or on monitoring with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Rebecca N. Mohlman, 37, pleaded guilty to failing to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge or conviction. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended, ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a suspended $100 jail surcharge, and placed on probation for one year. In a separate case, she pleaded guilty to violating custodial duty. She was fined $500 with nothing suspended and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund.
Nicholas J. Lincoln, 20, pleaded no contest to the charge of a minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol. He was fined $500 and a $10 police training surcharge, and was sentenced to 20 hours of community work service.
Sharlene M. Crumley, 46, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail or on monitoring with 30 days suspended, fined $500 with $500 suspended, ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $100 suspended jail surcharge, ordered to forfiet items seized, placed on probation for one year and ordered to get a substance abuse evaluation.

Nicole M. Canning, 39, second-degree criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
