Troopers and the ATV owner searched the area and were able to follow the vehicle tracks through Anchor Point to a location in the woods behind La Duquesa Lane in Anchor Point. Troopers followed footprints to a trailer at a residence on La Duquesa Lane. Troopers saw movement inside the trailer and attempted to contact the person inside the trailer without success. During the investigation an Anchor Point man was identified as the person who was suspected of stealing the ATV. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest stemming from a prior burglary/theft case. The man barricaded himself in the trailer and the Troopers Special Emergency Reaction Team was activated and responded. After several hours of unsuccessful attempts to make verbal contact, introduction of chemical munitions, and a search of the residence he was located underneath the trailer. Hewas arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded on his outstanding warrant and new charges of vehicle theft and criminal mischief.
