A driver at 8:51 a.m. was warned for speeding in a school zone on the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 9:29 a.m. reported a wanted subject on Lake Street. An officer went to the scene and found the report was unfounded.
A driver at 2:24 p.m. was given a warning for speeding in a school zone at Mile 1 East End Road.
Jan. 17
An officer at 12:41 a.m. made a security check on Ohlson Lane and advised a man to move along.
A caller at 8:37 a.m. reported a vehicle hit an electric box on Mattow Road. Police respodned and issued a summons for no vehicle insurance to a 26-year-old man.
A caller at 1:47 pm. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint that a driver almost caused an accident on Ben Walters Lane.
A driver at 2:38 p.m. was given a warning for speeding in a school zone at Mile 1 East End Road.
A caller at 3:40 p.m. reported suspicious activity on Kachemak Way. Police responded and found all was OK; people were making a film.
A caller at 8:14 p.m. reported people around a contained fire in the woods near Pennock Street. Police responded.
Police at 10:15 p.m. did a security check of an Ohlson Lane property. Police contacted a man and issued him a trespass notice.

A caller at 10:28 a.m. reported the theft of a propane tank from a Spit address.
A caller at 12:02 p.m. reported unleashed animals at Bishop’s Beach. Police referred the issue to the Animal Control officer.
Police at 8:45 p.m. contacted a driver in a suspicious vehcile on Ocean Drive and issued a citation.
Jan. 19
A caller at 8:07 a.m. asked for assistance with a dog at a Sterling Highway business.
A caller at 2:20 p.m. reported finding property in a storage unit on Kachemak Drive.
A caller at 10:01 p.m. reported a prowler at a Jennifer Place address.
Jan. 20
A caller at 12:33 a.m. reported an unresponsive man in the lobby of a Pioneer Avenue business.
Police at 1:10 a.m. found a man staggering on the sidewalk on Pioneer Avenue. Police provided transport for the man.
Police at 7:48 a.m. issued a trespass notice for camping to a man in all public restrooms.
A caller at 4:08 p.m. reported being assaulted at a Svedlund Circle address.
Jan. 21
A caller at 3:16 a.m. reported a disturbance at a Main Street home. Police responded and arrested a 24-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.
Jan. 22
Police at 8:47 a.m. assisted a motorist.
A person at 5:56 p.m. made a 911 call reporting a truck rollover with a man ejected on Beluga Lake. Police and EMTs responded and took a man to South Peninsula Hospital.
A person at 6:07 p.m. reported a drunk pedestrian in the road near Mile 2 Kachemak Drive. Police took a man into protective custody and transported him to the hospital.
A caller at 10:54 p.m. reported several men loading items into a van on Bunnell Avenue. Police responded and found all was OK.
Jan. 23
Police at 1:16 a.m. provided transportation for a man needing help during a tsunami evacuation.
A caller at 2:06 a.m expressed concern for a relative in the tsunami area on Landings Street. Police went to the area and contacted residents.
A caller at 7:54 a.m. reported he picked up a stray dog on West Hill Road. Police met the man and dog at the Animal Shelter.
A caller at 1:31 p.m. reported a theft from a Pioneer Avenue building. Police charged a 28-year-old man with fourth-degree theft.
Troopers
Jan. 16
Alaska State Troopers at 1:09 p.m. received a report of a side by side ATV which had just been stolen from a location on the Old Sterling Highway in Anchor Point. Troopers and the ATV owner searched the area and were able to follow the vehicle tracks through Anchor Point to a location in the woods behind La Duquesa Lane in Anchor Point. Troopers followed footprints to a trailer at a residence on La Duquesa Lane. Troopers saw movement inside the trailer and attempted to contact the person inside the trailer without success. During the investigation an Anchor Point man was identified as the person who was suspected of stealing the ATV. He had an outstanding warrant for his arrest stemming from a prior burglary/theft case. The man barricaded himself in the trailer and the Troopers Special Emergency Reaction Team was activated and responded. After several hours of unsuccessful attempts to make verbal contact, introduction of chemical munitions, and a search of the residence he was located underneath the trailer. Hewas arrested and transported to Wildwood Pretrial where he was remanded on his outstanding warrant and new charges of vehicle theft and criminal mischief.

Judgments
Wyatt L. Smith, 52, Ninilchik, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 25 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to pay restitution and apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend; and was placed on probation for one year.
Harold Carlos, 83, Eagle River, pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and was placed on probation for one year.
Daniel J. Tonty, 55, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. He was sentened to one day in jail. He was ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund. He also pleaded guilty to violating conditions of release and was sentenced to five days in jail with five days suspended.
Tammy Jo Roseberry, 41, Anchorage, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of monitoring; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Bryanna E. Halligan, 31, Kapaa, Hawaii, pleaded guilty to reckless driving. She was fined $1,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 30 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; had her driver’s license revoked for 30 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
