Officers at 9:18 p.m. assisted Alaska State Troopers with a pedestrian walking in traffic near Mile 164 Sterling Highway.
Oct. 18
A caller at 8:22 a.m. reported attempted sexual assault after the fact from a Bartlett Street address. An officer was advised.
An officer at 9:11 a.m. assisted the Homer Volunteer Fire Department with traffic control on West Bunnell Avenue for a report of a natural gas leak.
A caller at 10:32 a.m. reported that a piece of construction equipment had been left in the area of Cabana Court and Soundview Avenue for at least a month. The company was called and a message was left.
A caller at 12:46 p.m. reported a man causing a disturbance in a business on Greatland Street. An officer went to the business.
A caller at 3:33 p.m. made a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a vehicle at Lake Street and Smoky Bay Way. An officer went to the area.
A caller at 5:02 p.m. reported some found goats on Quinault Avenue. An officer was advised.
A caller at 8:20 p.m. reported a suspicious man in the bushes on East End Road. An officer went to the area and located the man.
A caller at 8:55 p.m. reported a man walking in an area who seemed out of place near Mattox Road and Cook Way. Officers went to the area but were unable to locate the man.
Oct. 19
Officers at 2:08 p.m. assisted another agency on Lake Street.
An off duty officer at 5:33 p.m. reported a suspended driver on East End Road. Officers went to the location.
Multiple callers at 7:23 p.m. reported a fire at Little Tutka Bay. The proper agency was notified.
A caller at 10:57 p.m. reported a man sleeping in the stairwell of a housing unit on West Bunnell Avenue. An officer went to the scene and provided the man with transportation to his home.
Oct. 20
An officer at 2:55 a.m. reported a vehicle possibly disabled on the side of the roadway on East Hill Road.
A caller at 8:15 a.m. reported a backpack left in a business on Ben Walters Lane. An officer went to the business to retrieve it and the owner got the backpack back.
Officers made several traffic stops between 12:18-12:33 p.m. on the Sterling Highway in the area around Soundview Avenue and Mt. Augustine Drive and warned drivers for speeding.
An officer at 2:20 p.m. made a traffic stop at Smokey Bay Way and Ben Walters Lane and warned a driver for failing to stop.
Multiple callers at 6:22 p.m. reported a possibly intoxicated man stumbling into the roadway on the Homer Bypass. An officer went to the area, located the man and gave him transportation to lodging.
Oct. 21
A caller at 1:39 a.m. reported loud music coming from a neighboring home at Rochelle Road and Shannon Court. An officer went to the home and advised the people there to keep the noise down.
A caller at 2:43 a.m. requested a welfare check on a person passed out in a running vehicle on East Pioneer Avenue. A 23-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the Homer Jail.
A caller at 10:41 a.m. reported a moose with an arrow in its flank on Ocean Drive. The Homer Police assisted by notifying the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
A driver at 11:26 a.m. was warned for failing to disclose a concealed firearm to an officer during a traffic stop at Mile 171 Sterling Highway.
A caller at 12:24 p.m. reported a woman causing a disturbance on Ohlson Lane. An officer went to the scene but the woman was gone when the officer arrived.
Oct. 22
A caller at A caller at 2:32 a.m. reported an unknown man inside a home on West Bunnell Avenue. The man left at the request of the registered owner. An officer went to the scene but was unable to locate the man, and the man is to be issued a trespass notice for the residence.
A caller at 9:47 a.m. reported that a woman was beating a dog on East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the location.
An officer at 11:46 a.m. assisted a motorist stuck on the roadway at Pioneer Avenue and Woodside Avenue.
A person calling 911 at 12:25 p.m. reported a three-vehicle collision at West Hill Road and the Sterling Highway. An officer responded to the location.
Multiple callers at 12:31 p.m. reported a multiple-vehicle pileup and a vehicle in the ditch on a hairpin turn at East Hill Road and Larkspur Court. An officer went to the location.
Multiple callers at 1:27 p.m. reported a single vehicle rollover at Saltwater Drive and the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene along with medics.
Oct. 23
A caller at 2:10 p.m. reported a possible assault on the Sterling Highway. An officer was advised.
A 911 caller at 2:55 p.m. reported a possible suicide attempt on E Street. Officers went to the location and then followed up at South Peninsula Hospital.
An officer at 4:05 p.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone on the Sterling Highway.
An officer at 11:27 p.m. warned a driver for speeding at Mt. Augustine Drive and the Sterling Highway.
Oct. 24
The fire department at 12:45 a.m. requested the Homer Police Department’s assistance on FAA Road. An officer went to the scene.
An officer at 5:07 a.m. assisted the fire department on FAA Road.
Troopers
Oct. 23
Alaska State Troopers at 8:35 a.m. responded to an address on Baranof Street in Nikolaevsk for a report of a deceased person. An investigation showed a 57-year old resident of Nikolaevsk had died of natural causes sometime during the night. The person’s next of kin were notified and the State Medical Examiner released the body to the family.
Alaska State Troopers at 6:10 p.m. received a report of a deceased man at a residence in Ninilchik. An investigation showed the 52-year-old resident of Ninilchik had died from natural causes. The man’s next of kin were located and notified of his death.

Tyler A. Nelson-Mobeck, 24, charges dismissed, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree burglary. He pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree theft. He was fined $1,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 20 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and restitution in an amount to be determined; and put on probation for one year.
Yasiel Rios, 25, charge dismissed, fourth-degree criminal mischief. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Patti C. Hensley, 55, charge dismissed, refusal to submit to chemical test. She pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. She was fined $2,000 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 27 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $1,467 cost of imprisonment for a second offense; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for one year; and was placed on probation for two years.
Edward M. Vaughn, 51, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He was fined $4,000 with $1,000 suspended and sentenced to 30 days in jail with 10 days suspended; ordered to pay $75 to support the Police Training Fund, a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended and the $66 cost of imprisonment; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and install an ignition interlock device; had his driver’s license revoked for 90 days; and was placed on probation for one year.
Richard M. Russell, 38, pleaded guilty to having no motor vehicle liability insurance. He was fined $500 with nothing suspended, and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $50 jail surcharge.
Cory White, 27, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid operators license. He was fined $150 with nothing suspended and ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund.
