Sept. 13

At 9 a.m., a 63-year-old Soldotna man was served an AST warrant for PTRP while incarcerated in the Homer Jail.

At 10:05 p.m. while conducting a traffic stop Officers contacted a 19-year-old Anchor Point resident. The resident received a summons for Driving in Violation of Driver Permit.

Sept. 14

At 5:54 p.m. officers reported to the scene of an intoxicated female that needed assistance and located a 53-year-old Anchorage woman who was arrested for VCOR and remanded to the Homer Jail.

At 9 p.m. while conducting a traffic stop Officers contacted a 63-year-old Kenai resident. She was arrested for a $500 Bench Warrant for Driving While License Revoked.

Sept. 16

At 08:36 a.m. a 28-year-old Homer resident is arrested for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Hearing, Original Charge: Driving Under the Influence, and remanded to Homer Jail.

At 3:03 p.m. Officers respond to a report of a vehicle doing burn outs. As a result, a 40-year-old Homer resident, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, Reckless Driving, and remanded to Homer Jail.

Sept. 17

At 7:32 p.m. a 32-year-old Homer resident is arrested for Violating Conditions of Release and remanded to Homer Jail

Sept. 18

At 1:21 a.m. Officer responds to a report of a vehicle in the ditch. As a result a 63-year-old Homer resident was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and remanded to Homer Jail.

Sept. 14

At 4:17 p.m. the Alaska State Troopers responded to a single vehicle collision near mile marker 158.5 of the Sterling Highway. Investigation revealed a 34-year-old Colorado resident was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The man was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence. The perpetrator was transported to Homer Jail where he was remanded. Bail was set at his own recognizance.

At 11:21 p.m. the Alaska State Troopers responded to a physical altercation at a local business in Anchor Point. Investigation revealed the complainant confronted a 40-year-old Anchorage resident for attempting to steal his vehicle and a physical altercation ensued. The man was placed under arrest for Attempted Vehicle Theft 1st Degree, Assault in the 4th Degree, and Drunk on Licensed Premise. The man was transported to Homer Jail, where he was remanded. Bail was set at his own recognizance.

Sept. 16

At 3:29 p.m. the Alaska State Troopers from Anchor Point conducted a traffic stop near Mile 144 Sterling Hwy. Investigation determined a 14- year old was allowed to drive a vehicle. The parent a 34-year-old Anchor Point resident was issued a misdemeanor summons for Allowing an Unauthorized Person to Drive. The 14-year old was issued a citation for driving without a license.

Sept. 18

At approximately 2:29 a.m. the Alaska State Troopers in Anchor Point responded to a disturbance at approximately 18 Mile East End Road. Investigation determined a 42-year-old Homer man broke a family member’s phone, assaulted a family member, and prevented someone from reporting a DV crime from contacting law enforcement. Additionally, the man was on conditions of release prohibiting his consumption of alcohol. The perpetrator was arrested for Criminal Mischief 3rd (DV), Assault 4th (DV), Interfering with the Report of a DV Crime and VCOR. He was remanded to the Homer Jail where he was held without bail pending arraignment.

A 56-year-old Soldotna man contacted Alaska Wildlife Troopers and reported that he had shot a sub-legal bull moose in the Ninilchik area. Investigation revealed that the man had shot a bull moose in GMU 15C that did not meet the antler size and brow tine requirements and was not a spike. The perpetrator was issued a citation with a mandatory court appearance in the Kenai District Court. The antlers were seized and the meat was donated to a charity.

Sept. 19

At 10:59 a.m. AST in Anchor Point responded to a single vehicle MVC near 6 Mile East End Road in Homer. Investigation determined the driver, a 32-year-old Homer man was driving too fast for conditions, fell asleep while he driving, left the roadway, hit a traffic control sign, and landed in a ditch. The man was issued a misdemeanor summons for Reckless Driving in the Homer Court. Speed was considered to be a contributing factor.
